Talking How bout them sabers?

Well lets see here...they've made it to the playoffs, and to the conference finals despite several people on here saying they most likely wouldn't do so. Today was a good game, kinda slow in the 1st, but definately rebounded in the 2nd. The 3rd started out the same as the 2nd, but then both teams went into a lil lull. The end of the 3rd was pretty intense, carolina definately had chances and worked their asses off to get em.

Caught the first 5 minutes and the last 5 of it, slept during the rest. The last 5 minutes were quite good.

They are a good team and getting top notch goaltending from Miller. I thought they had what it took but didn't want to see them knock off Ottawa. I was actually talking to a buddy earlier and of the 4 teams left I can't find a reason to root against any of them.

Well im sure more people were watchin the mavs game, but tonight the canes tied the series up. The canes came back somethin fierce this game, and buff just took their time gettin into it, so it seemed. However it wasn't enough o well, hopefully they'll win at home on wednesday.

I watched the game, Carolina just took over in the 2nd and were not taking no for an answer. I like the way these two match up, it sure is making for some entertaining games, and I haven't seen as much physical play as this one has had in a while.

So the oilers won tonight 5-4, after shitting the bed in the 3rd period, and letting the ducks score 3 goals after they were up 4-0.

Bring on Game 4, its gonna be a gooder.

Out of curiousity, why do you misspell your team? Why do you spell Sabres, sabers?

No...im kinda slow if you haven't noticed. No point in goin back and tryin to fix it now, then that'd just make it more obvious. I mean it took you guys how long to notice this?

8 fucking goals in the 3rd period! I was getting pissed off! I don't know what in the hell was going through Roli's mind. Maybe he felt that since they were up by 4, they could just sit back and relax or something...

The game tonight was a good one. I only saw the 1st and third but Buffalo looked alot better than they did in game 2. I wouldnt be suprised for this one to go the length, plus you got to love the even higher level of intensity than the series before.

It's looking more and more like it's going to be Buf vs Edm. If it happens, thats going to look odd. Two small market teams going at it. Crazy.

Really either way it will look odd as all are small market teams, atleast that still have much of a hope on getting to the finals.

Well I watched the end of the 1st, then I had to go load some jets all throughout the 2nd period. I did get to watch the 3rd all the way through though. Buff definately looked better than in game 2. Also I noticed both teams weren't tryin to beat the shit out of each other along the boards like they were in game 2. As always so far in this series the end of the 3rd was definately exciting.

Anaheim's doesn't really qualify as a small market team if you think about it. Their in a large populated area seeing how Anaheim is a suburb of Los Angeles with a payroll in 2003 that was over 50 million.

thats why i said of the teams that still have hope of getting there. As was said when the Sens were down 3-0 there isnt much hope of climbing out of that hole.

Im damn near in shock that edmonton has done what it has to anaheim. In their 1st two series they were on top of damn near everything. Out of all the teams they had the best puck control and set ups offensively. Now it seems like it's not even there anymore. BTW I most likely wrong, but I was under the impression a small market team was one w/ out the financial advantages of other teams.

Edmonton pressures more than most teams and doesn't allow the space to set up, which has been hurting the Ducks greatly. Having Roloson in net hasn't hurt either. The Ducks are going with Giguire in net tonight so that could be good or bad depending on how you look at it.

On another note, the Sabres have lost Tallinder for the remainder of the playoffs with a broken arm. This hurts them greatly as he has been a rock in their own end, and also has joined the rush effectively. One thing I saw was that Lindy Ruff might put Pominville back on d, which I dont really understand when you have a vet in Jillson who you can plug into the line up.

Well damn...carolina brought it something fierce tonight. Swappin the goalie apparently did the trick for em, cause buff had no idea on what his weaknesses were and he was spot on all game. Unfortunately I don't think buff could do the same trick as biron hasn't played in quite some time and even when he did he was 50/50.

Sounds like the same shit the Anaheim Mother Fucks pulled last night.

Well tonight was one hell of a game. Buff came out strong throughout all of the 1st then kinda died off in the 2nd. The 3rd was 50/50ish definately leanin towards carolina at the end. However they pulled it out in OT, so now it's back to carolina for game 7. Any wagers on this one? o wait nvm...ppl don't pay up on here.

Go Buffalo Go....That way the Oilers will beat them.

Actualy Buffalo has stepped it up alot, it would be a good series if they ended up playing Edmonton.

I was just looking at si.com and now McKee is out also. I know they have played through injuries as a team but I really think this could be too much. Game 7's are hard to win as it is but missing 4 of the 6 defensemen, as Numminen reaggrivated his injury, on the road might be too much.

Even witht the injuries they put up one hell of a fight. However they just couldn't fully compete w/ carolina. O well, they'll be back again next year and we'll c how it turns out then.
