NHL fans in here

So what is everyones Cup Finals Predictions?

I'm thinking Carolina in the East. I can't believe i am actually saying that, but damn, they have been pretty consistant the past two seasons.

In the West.....toss up! Detroit, or Dallas. I hate Detroit, and i love the Stars, so if they both make it to the conference finals, great matchup.

Overall, i take the West to be the winner.

Ottawa vs Detroit
I see Nashville causing alot of problems and almost want to pick them for the upset but they havent' been playing well lately. Stars won't make it to the conference finals.

I would have to agree with you Carolina is just tearing it up and of caorse Im going to say the stars. I just hope we dont end up playing the Kings in the first round.

The only team I see giving the Stars a problem in the playoffs is LA. They have had our number this season. I think the Stars will make it to the Cup this year though. I would like to see Guerin scoring more(though he is doing good here lately). There seems to always be a line stepping up when another line isn't playing great. You just don't see them giving up when they are down on the scoreboard. As long as the Stars stay healthy I think the Cup will be ours this year.

I hate the Red Wings, but they are by far the best team in the NHL and I am willing to bet money that they win the cup this year.

The wings are a great team but if you break it down weve out played the wings a few times this season. I think if we get a couple of guys that are playing good right and step them up to playing great in the playoffs we should do real well if not win the cup.

I disagree. The wings have a whole lot of playoff experience if you go player by player. The Wings will, and always have, turned in to a different animal in the playoffs...except for when they played the Patty Roy generation Avalanche.

I'm still sticking with my prediction before the season started...I think New Jersey makes it to the finals. And for the west, Dallas.

I know call me crazy, but Brodeur's got the experience and he's getting back into his groove.

Edit: Ok, but I admit I like the Sens and Hasek has the experience too. What about the Rangers? Lundvist is a badass.

Hasek got hurt in the Olympics and I believe he is still out. When he was hurt I think they were saying 4-6 weeks. Hopefully they don't drop too far in the standings while he's gone and end up not on home ice at a tough team like Carolina or New Jersey.

Im still going with my preseason prediction of Ottawa and Detriot. Hasek will be back in the next couple of weeks and the rest will help him carry the Sens.

Since I don't feel like creating a new thread, I'll use this thread since it's all about NHL talk.

Cristobal Huet is da man. Why would anyone ever need Jose Theodore?

At least Jose Theodore isn't a white flag waving Frenchie.
