Should the Cowboys attempt to sign Drew Brees?

Well, it appears that the Chargers are going to allow Drew Brees to pursue free agency and keep Philip Rivers as their starter (dumb move). Should the Cowboys pursue him as a REAL starting QB with a future or keep Drew Bledsoe? The only concern I have with Brees is that he tore his labrum the last game of the season and won't begin to throw till mid-late spring. Discuss the Battle of the Drews.

Sign now and package for trading for the draft of The Great Vincimus Maximus.

I'd sign him....i would never trade any draft picks for him tho..

Fix the offensive line and either Drew(s) could lead us to the superbowl..

The Jets still have to try and unload Pennington which may prove to be harder than they thought.

The Dolphins may be able to pick up Cutler at #16.

I doubt they just cut him. They are going to try and get eveything they can out of him. They just put D. Abraham as their franchise player to prevent him from becoming a free agent and them getting nothing for him. They'll end up dealing him too.

What can you get for an already weak arm QB coming off 2 surgeries? The team sucks they are better off saving themselves money and starting over.

I'd stick with Bledsoe since he has some chemistry with the receivers. He seemed to be doing just fine all the way up until Flozell Adams injury, then the whole offense went to shit and interceptions galore. One more year for Bledsoe at least, and possibly a 1st round rookie QB to ride the bench and learn some until Bledsoe ends his career.

I think the Cowboys should at least consider Brees, he is fairly young and has some talent. Don't forget he also played HS ball at Austin Westlake.

The Jets will cut Pennington, they asked him to take a $8 million paycut and he said no, nobody will give anything for him. The history of QB's coming back from torn rotator cuffs is not good, he tore it twice. His career is done.

Everything was good until the BUT in your sentence, you contradicted your own statement dumbass. Either you are good enough or you are not. Bledsoe is NOT good enough.

If we signed him , it'd be to move to FS..but i think he'd love to stay at CB ( played like his old self last season)

But we cant put too much money into the secondary, even tho i'd love Law here.

That would be nice, I really like the level of talent he has and what he can do on the field. That move alone would help the bad secondary and they can even do some rotating to keep the secondary fresh; Newman, Henry, Glenn, and Law. There's no such thing as having too many good DB's.

I don't see how they cannot afford him seeing as how they are shopping for a QB, WR, and deppending on the RW situation, another RB. There is plenty of money floating around the 'phins.

Mason Crosby. Better leg, cheaper price since he's going to be a rookie.
