How 'bout tha Mavs?

Insert Diop into the starting lineup 3 games ago and the Mavs have been on fire. He isn't putting up monster numbers, but the team is playing with more energy and Damp has got a little sizzle coming off the bench. The center position combined (Diop, Damp, Mbenga) are putting up some repectable numbers. I don't care if you get that productions from 1 player or 3 - its fairly impressive for the Mavs squad for the center position - especially since we've had to deal with Shawn Bradley over the last several years. Last 3 games:

110-77 over NJ (8pts, 12 reb, 5 blocks)
114-95 over Milwaukee (5 pts, 17 reb, 3 blocks)
103-76 over Houston (9 pts, 16 reb, 6 blocks)

Other than NJ, and maybe not even then, it has been fair competition at best, but at least the Mavs have shown some killer instinct vs. letting teams hang around til the end.

Yeah, we know. If T-Mac and Yao had been able to go, the Mavs would've only won by 13.

Mavs are playing good ball. Once Daniels comes back it should be even better. I'm not a big Dampier hater. I don't think he's great and he's a little overpaid, but he can rebound and play pretty good Defense. He just doesn't have the energy that Diop brings to the floor. If you combine Diop and Dampier we are getting pretty good production out of the center position.

If we can get/keep everyone healthy and keep playing good defense with a high level of energy, then I like our chances.

Go Mavs! You're my boy Howard.

Yeah well, without the Rockets key players we arent going anywhere this year. T-Mac will be back soon though, and hopefully Mr. Ming as well.

Totally agree. Hopefully with Damp coming off the bench he will bring more energy to his game than he does compared to when he starts.

We really need to get these guys to stay healthy. Hopefully we will have Van Horn back soon as well as Daniels soon. It's been a while since the whole team was healthy at one time
