11-1. Major Applewhite's going to stick it to 'em big time at Rice. He's like Chuck Norris without the martial arts and hand-to-hand combat.

10-2.

The rumor I have from Mel Kipper is A&M is going to hire Chuck Norris as defensive coordinator.

Damn, I'd love to see the Rice vs. A&M game. It's gonna be Chuck vs. a slightly disfigured, slightly younger, inexperienced, martial arts and special forces training-less Chuck.

with a full season under they're belts together, a healthy OU beats UT this year. Ohio St. & at Nebraska could be a problem as well.

Hard to fill VY's shoes IMO, with or without a good backfield. Watch OU film from the first half of last season, growing pains are a bitch.

Ok so Vince leaves and the whole Texas program goes to crap? Dude OU will be a problem, but won't beat us. We have 15 returning starters and most of them are on the offensive side of the football. Not to mention that most of our defense is in tack OU still has to face our defense. Again which is still ranked in the top 10.

I think Texas will still be trying to find themselves when a preseason #1 ranked Ohio State comes to Austin. Also, I figure they will drop one game in the Big 12 since after the recent bowl showing, the Big 12 is STRONG.

So ill be reaistic and say 10-2. I hope I'm wrong though

People got to realize that on top of VY going, there were some other key players that will not be back. And now it is rumored that OL Justin Blaylock might leave early. I have no doubt that Texas is stocked with players to step up, but it will take some time...especially at the QB position.

personally, i think the ONLY question is the QB position. i know that's a big question but it's better than most teams.

besides aggy fans said it was the supporting cast of teamates that made vince so good, right? in that case mccoy or snead should have no problem

11-1 IF they lose to ohio st. and since that's the second game of the season and nobody else goes undefeated next year they'll be in the mnc game again hey, it could happen.

you guys get way to defensive when someone doesn't nutswing the Horns. I have no doubt they'll be fine, but I think they'll struggle to find the same timing that they had with VY right off the bat.

nO, it just took some time for people to get on board with the VY bandwagon. I was the conductor, engineer, and signalman, before it even left the junction.

Are you high on crack? OU beat Texas five years in a row and started it with a National Title at the end of the 2000 season. Not to mention in 2000 OU kicked the shit out of UT 63-14. Hell Texas was even ranked 9th in 02 then 5th in 03 and 04. This year when Texas beat OU they weren't even ranked but I didn't see the 52 point ass whooping Texas got in 2003 while ranked 5th.

What math are you doing here? How do propose that UT is better than any OU team. This is the first year since 99 that OU hasn't won at least 11 games and 8-4 this season isn't that bad. What about 2000 when UT got the shit kicked out of them 63-14 by the soon to be National Champs? Got an answer for that one yet? Nope, the 2000 OU Sooners plain and out right kicked butt that season. Not that Texas didn't kick butt this season but to say a Sooner team was never as good is just plain BS. I think you are so blinded by Burnt Orange that you're spit anything out of that garbage pitt below your nose, LOL.

What do old Texas teams have to do with the 2005 Texas team being better than any OU team?

In other words you acknowledge he lost while playing against OU in 2003 and 2004. Also VY was completely shut out in the 2004 Red River Shoot Out so yeah he did some growing. I almost forgot to mention Washington St in the Holiday Bowl Dec 2003, LOL.

Ok it is simple no one can prove that UT or OU has ever had a better team than the 2000 Sooners or 2005 Horns. Only difference in those teams lies in how they played one another in their respective Championship seasons and the ranking they entered the Red River Shoot Out holding and their respective ranking at seasons end. UT was ranked higher in both cases in 2000 versus the 2005 Sooners. So I am not saying it is the gospel I am simply calling BS on the statement the 2005 UT team was better than any OU team ever. Two times this year VY scored with little time on the clock to win that isn't domination that is just good play. You want to see a dominant National Championship team look at the 2004 USC team. No way of telling who was the greatest.

You can't say that the 2000 OU team is better than the 2005 UT team because the 2000 OU team handled the 2000 Texas team, just like you can't say that the 2005 UT team is better than the 2000 OU team because the 2005 Texas team handled the 2005 OU team. That's where I thought you were going with this, but I didn't think you could really be that stupid. Rankings don't mean shit from one season to the next because they're relative to the teams of the season. The #5 team playing beneath the 4 greatest teams of all time could be better than every team except the 4 ranked above it in it the one season, or it could be at the bottom of the pile.

You have no business discussing football. You're the antithesis of King Midas. While everything he touched turned to gold, everyone you pick turns to shit.

At least you finally gave up defending the rapist.

Really is that the best you can come with? I mean wow, I am so disappointed with that weak rebuttal. Here I thought you'd actually be able to hold a seemingly intelligent debate about your comment but you feel the need to waffle on me. Well back on track Bryce, as we were discussing prior to your ADD kicking in. You do recall the heartbreak the VY and UT suffered coming close but so far away the two years prior to this one? This means that VY did have a growth period, right? I guess if you want to you could just change the subject again no need to step up and be accountable for your statement .

Are you really this slow my statement refuted the fact any team can ever be called better than any other from a different season. I call BS on the statement that the 2005 UT team is better than any team from OU ever. Is this to hard to grasp as a concept. Here let's state it like this, it is a theory that cannot be tested or proven.

It's not bullshit, it just can't be proven. You seemed to be trying to disprove it with your comparison to the 2000 OU team.

I was simply giving a comparison of another great team I didn't theorize that the OU team was better than any UT team now did I?

If you knew that there was no way of proving one team to be better, what was the point of a comparison between them?

I never tried to weasel out I simply said I never recalled confirming the sig bet. I was shown that I had made said bet and I promptly changed my sig and my avatar (which was not part of the deal) to comply completely. I was complemented by one fellow for such quick action. You have a real problem with me don't you? LOL, I find you comical at best, now run along Bryce before your temper gets the best of you. Then you attack me personally then I attack you personally then you PM the moderator and call foul . Please don't get ahead of yourself we have been down this road before.

You can't handle the fact I keep trying to get back on the subject of the band wagon comment which you still haven't replied to. Do you recall the two seasons prior to 2005 when UT wasn't on top with VY or is the ADD getting worse?

Back to lying, are we? You tried to weasel out of it. You had to be reminded to honor a bet you made several posts about. Just like you tried to committ plagarism...and so on, and so on, and so on........

Watching you try to spin your way out of this is about as entertaining as watching dust form while high on crystal meth.

Trying to keep you on subject is like trying to discuss underwear with Rainman, LOL. Talk about a spin job you still have yet to circle back around to the original discussion that being the band wagon comment. Come on now Hookem do you recall the 2003 and 2004 UT seasons and VY's growth period? Come on, John Kerry Jr, fess up, get on track, get you game face on, LOL. Hookem is your favorite band the Spin Doctors?

I never said he didn't, I contend that was a season that was part of VY's growth period?
