Simms lights it up yesterday

Chris Simms 15-29 279 3 TDs 0 INTs QB Rating 119.8
Not bad for someone who can't play in the NFL.....

Meanwhile, in other NFL Horn news, Vasher breaks the NFL's longest return record, by returning a missed kick 108 yards.

That was one crazy play! It looked like the part in Behind Enemy Lines when Owen Wilson's character has the football kicked by the catapult into the wind and tries to have it come back to the ship and catch it.

He didn't look bad, against a TERRIBLE skins team I'd like to see what he would do against The Cowboys D . . . it's not the best D, but they'd OWN that overrated chump.

Is there even an A&M QB playing in the NFL right now, let alone starting?

No . . . you're point? You don't have one . . . so STFU until you have a VALID argument.

That guy is ONLY in the nfl because of the name on his back, PERIOD!!!!

BTW: Which school in the Big XII has the most NFL PLAYERS???

That's an example of a VALID POINT

So I guess that goes the same for their starter before him, Brian GRIESE!!!

Heck, by your 'lastname logic' Peyton and Eli must have gotten their jobs because of Archie. Dumb Aggies.

Just to add insult to injury here:

The Redskins 'D' is ranked 7th overall at 295.3 yards a game - 113.2 Rush (16th), 182.1 Pass (9th). I'd say they were up in the top when it comes to 'D'.

Even though I'm an Aggie, I've thought he'd make a good NFL QB the entire time he was at UT. He's got the talent, he just needs to continue to mature.

And no, there is not an A&M QB in the NFL. Not since good ole Bucky Richardson.

Although Reggie hasn't lead our program the way I hoped he would I think he'll still get drafted as a QB. He has too much talent, too good of an arm, and too mobile to not be. Someone will draft him and see if they can work on his leadership, decision making, and maturity.

On a side note, I'll be at Kyle Field for the A&M/UT game praying for an upset.

No but A&M does have 29 players currently on the NFL charts versus 22 from UT. I thought Simms looked very impressive in that game the other day. Some players mature at different rates maybe he is coming around. To qualify that I didn't think Eli Manning was going to be as good as he has been seeing that he wasn't the high-profile college player his brother was but he is very talented.

Simms' play will continue to improve the more he plays in the NFL. He will be a very good QB one day. While he was at UT, the offense was RUN FIRST, RUN SECOND, RUN THIRD, and pass on THIRD AND LONG WHILE THE ENTIRE FREAKING DEFENSE IS BLITZING. If Simms had been at one of the FL schools, he'd have probably averaged around 33-36 pass attempts a game at a minimum and would have matured much, much faster. There were many games at UT when he didn't attempt 18 passes a game despite having some young, talented receivers. Now that he's in the NFL and teams pass much more and run lots of play action, look for him to really improve. Even with VY, his passing is much, much better this year, but the attempts are up as well. Also, they're quality attempts, not 3rd and long when the entire D knows you're passing.

I don't know that A&M has 29 ( I will check ) but Texas has more than 22. By the way ( not being an a** hole ) I think the UT guys are making a little bit more of an impact than those Aggies. OK bub! Thanks! http://www.mackbrown-texasfootball.c...ange_well_id=2
