Who do you want to win the Heisman?

One of the guys thats actually in the running, not someone you wish was!

My vote......Vince!! I hope Leinart doesn't get it, and Reggie Bush has kinda fallen off. So i think it will be between the two qb's.

Leinart!

If Vince wins the Heisman then he might leave.

I like Vince but.....IMO I think he would be better off converting to WR. He is going to have trouble in the NFL with his inaccurate passing. But to answer your question Vince should win the Heisman. My personal favorite is Reggie Bush. He is Gale Sayers reincarnated.

True! i don't think Vince is going to make a good qb in the NFL. Kinda like whats his name that plays for Pittsburg, and was qb for Kansas St.

I think Ben Roethlisberger is pretty good.....he just needs a bigtime tightend

He's also a pretty good reminder of Cordell Stewart........another Pitsburg QB. But ask yourself this : "Where is Cordell now?"......on the bench

The top three is a toss up until seasons end. VY is currently favored by all and this seems to be the front runner. Last year Matt Leinart was the favored down the stretch and walked off stage with it in Dec. If that trend continues the VY takes it. This year the dinner is one month and one day away from us, so we will soon know. The selection process is as follows I found it on ESPN.

"The Heisman vote is actually rather simple. The nation is split into six sections (Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest, Southwest, Far West), each consisting of 145 media voters culled from the print, radio and television ranks. Also, every past Heisman winner casts a vote as well.

Each elector casts a ballot listing his top three choices, with the top choice receiving three points, the second receiving two and the third receiving one. This method was adopted with the idea of eliminating regional favoritism, and the player receiving the higest number of points across all six sections is the winner. "

VY is playing damn good football this year, but Leinhart's stats this year are even better than his Heisman stats from last year. I think it all comes down to what Leinhart does here on out, if he puts up big #'s against Cal & UCLA, he's a lock. VY & his boys have a cake walk the rest of the way & will get overshadowed by the Pac-10 rivalry games coming up. Just my opinion.

That is a very good point. But if Texas continues to rack up 100-9 games, thats gotta say something.

Are you talking about Michael Bishop(not in the league anymore)? Both him and Kordell are about 6 ft, VY is 6'5, comparing VY to those spares is funny

I think if VY wins the Heisman and national title, he should go pro, he will have nothing more to prove in college and risks injury, just my opinion

Yeah, let's not bring up the Kordell years in Pittsburgh. Thank God he's gone. He plays for the Ravens now. I kinda wish he was QBing when we played them 2 weeks ago instead of Anthony Wright.

Antwon Randle El.

He's a good slot WR and has a decent arm, but that's about it. Kinda reminds me of Kordell a little bit, actually. I'll give him a couple of years to see if he improves or not though.

at the beginning of the year I would have agreed with most of the shift to WR talk but now I see Young a bit differnent...

Randle El and Kordell pretty mcuh had to shift to WR due to thier height and overall size

With detailed work on Youngs throwing motion he could very well be a outstanding QB.

He's 6-5 233

McNabb is 6-2 240
Cullpepper is 6-4 260

So Young has the ability to still put on good pounds (he's only 22) and could still be a force with his feet.

He's proven that he can be very accurate this year and some of his highlight reel passes have been incredibly on point. Sure he's still had a few bad passes/fumbles, but that's also part of still being a junior in the college game... every NFL player has been there.

That's one of the main reasons I think he wants to come back for his Senior year. Fact is that he still has alot to prove to the NFL. One more year of 1000 yrds rushing with the potential to be a 3000+ yds passer will put him in the prototype image that Vick and McNabb created for the new age NFL QB.

I also think that he's figuring out that by not being a huge ego and understanding that he still has alot to learn to play the game on the next level he will entice more scouts to give him some extra time to work out the kinks in his overall arm motions. Plus most NFL teams don't really get a big return on thier high draft QB's for a few seasons anyway... so he has PLENTY of time to develop himself... and he certainly has the body and talent to do it.

guess ur talkin about randle el or maybe hines ward they were both qb's at one point but i dont think either went to pitt.. yea i agree but if he gets with a team that already has an established running game i think he can perform great under the center

VY is a tossup, just like every other qb going from the college ranks to pro. i think he'll be good, kinda reminds me of culpepper/mcnabb.

The numbers are very misleading. Watch how many of VY's passes are lobs. He just kinda throws it up there and hopes his guys catches it. I do think VY should win the Heisman, but his receivers need more credit for the job that they do to get open and have him able to just lob it, and for the job they're doing of catching the balls that are lobbed in their general direction.

I think he will be a great NFL QB. I dont know why people done forget Micheal Vick is Mr. Excitement in the NFL right now. VY is just as fast and taller. Stop hating on him. Oh and Cordell Stewert was an all pro for 2 yrs before he got benched after the second game of the yr a couple yrs ago.
