Hypothetical: Should Tech beat Texas . . .

Tech will never be higher than any other undefeated school in the rankings.

Does that not show Tech fans that Tech really did shoot themselves in the foot with those powder-puff teams they played this year.

well even if the big 12 conference is a major one I would hate to be a wac or mountain west champs and be undefeated and play in the sun bowl....lol if tech goes undefeated they could be playing in a game with whoever wins the national championship which they could control their own destiny....

Well if Tech does win and go undefeated the rest of the season. We might not rank higher then other undefeated teams in front of us but since there most likely will not be more then 3 undefeated teams in a season I think that puts us in very good company and a BCS Birth. I could live with that.

But for now....if you go on any Tech message board; we are not even speaking of things like that. We are taking one week at a time, trying not to get ahead of ourselves. We still have a rough rest of the season ahead of us. Not even considering Texas this weekend we still have to get past Baylor on the road which could prove to be more challenging then some would think. We cannot discount A&M at home and I believe our last game of the regular season is against OU at home. Even though they have struggle thus far in the season I would imagine that Stoops will have some things ironed out by then and Peterson will most likely be 100% again.

Still a lot of football left.

LOL...yeah that did sound like something that would come out of a coach’s mouth. I'm just trying to look at all the facts and not get ahead of myself. I also get the feeling that a lot of other Tech fans feel the same way. Last years Texas game was not that long ago and I remember Tech players and fans talking trash thinking we were invincible after the beating we put on NU only to get smacked around like a little brother and put in our place.

I have noticed that a lot of Tech fans philosophy is to be humble right now and I think it is a nice change. What is funny to me is that on Hornfans.com some of the guys are worried because of our silence.
