I play semipro, minor league, whatever you want to call it. It's NFL rules, 11 on 11, exactly like pro without the huge crowds and big paychecks, and of course the talent level is nowhere near as high.

There are several teams in this area and a couple of different leagues. Most of the teams will play whoever they can schedule against, from any league, and then keep a rank system going amongst the teams in your own league. Our team travels to Houston, Austin, San Antonio, West Texas, and potentially New York, Philly, or California. The season runs February through June. We have sponsors and charge a few bucks for tickets and the money pays for our travel, uniforms, equipment, refs, etc. Anything leftover goes to charity.

I love it. Unfortunately, I tore my knee up at the end of last season, and I'll be out until the start of 2007.

If you are serious about playing, I'll get you more info.
