Ags, Horns, and Sooners

Texas v tOSU, Ags v Clemson, and Sooner v UCLA:

Who are you guys rooting for, when it comes to schools other than your own in these games?

Myself, I'll be supporting the Big 12 all the way......

I always root for other Big 12 teams. According to the critics, OU is not going to be any good this year . Should be a fantastic season. Sept 3 cannot get here fast enough.

This also goes for our resident Techsters, Wildcats, and whatever other Big 12 teams.

Now, while I'm certainly NOT going to deny that I somewhat enjoyed the lopsided MNC whipping, I went into the game hoping for a Sooner win. In fact, I was distraught for a little while, until it was clear how bad a loss it was going to be. Ditto for that agricultural college south of here.....while I may certainly not pass on an opportunity to bag on them for losing to teams they shouldnt (cough...Baylor)....I do generally root for them to win all of their games, when not playing Texas. I certainly wanted them to beat that damn other UT in the Cotton Bowl.....that didn't work out so well.

Simplified, my rooting goes Big 12-Baylor> all others: Baylor has no business being here, and if not for a political power move my Ann Richards and Bob Bullock, they wouldnt be around!

At least TTech and Texas represented the conference well in the bowl season.......

So ready for ball season!

That Spurs avatar didn't last long, did it Marcus?

I always root for the Big 12 just for BCS implications. Even though strength of schedule is not in the formula anymore, it's still in the mind of the voters.

Hey, I had it up for over a month.

I'd make bets with you over the T+1 game but I've got to deal with David. I've lost to him two years in a row and I'm hoping to seek revenge this year.

Can't wait for the season to start. I go to UT so I always have to cheer for them. Hope we can beat OU this year. Otherwise I root for any team to beat OU, A&M, and Tech. If any of the three are playing I would rather have Tech beat A&M, A&M beat OU, Tech beat OU, HAHAHA like that's going to happen.

My support Break down goes like this:
1. A&M
2. Texas Schools (Except t.u.)
3. All other Big XII Schools (except t.u.)
4. t.u. (unless in a bowl game)

I used to support t.u. more, but thanks to tools like Hook'em, I can no longer respect that school anymore.

LEt's get this straight....you are such a weak midned spineless individual, that words on a screen determine who you root for in a sporting event?
That is just plain pathetic.

So, with that question posed....

What would be your favoribale scenario?

If OU, TX, and A&M each had 1 conference loss, and each loss was dealt by one of the 3 schools mentioned...how would you like those to be dispursed?

wow.
helluva question.
And, since I can't find the Big 12 rules for said situation, I don't have an answer for you. What's my abstract answer? Whatever situation helpds Texas the most, while helping Ags second most, and Sooner, lastly. I realize that's a bit of a dodge, but without seeing the ramifications, and how 3-way ties are worked out, I can't answer the question.

Of course you do....you're an Aggie. An aggie from oklahoma. The ultimate in red headed step children......
I like Texas, Texas teams, and then the Big 12. I'd have an easier time rooting for JUST an aggie, or JUST an Okie than I would an Aggie AND an Okie.

As for wanting to discuss scores.....

Austin, TX -- Cedric Benson rushed for 141 yards and five touchdowns, as the sixth-ranked Texas Longhorns rallied from a 28-point deficit to erupt for a 56-35 victory over 19th-ranked Oklahoma State.

The Longhorns (8-1, 5-1 Big 12) once trailed 35-7, but scored 49 unanswered points the rest of the way for the big victory. The Longhorns won for the 17th time in the 19 all-time meetings between these schools, including seven straight.

Typical aggy....living vicariously thru another school, because they can't take care of their own business.

Texas is 72-41-5 against the state of Oklahoma, since you seem to want to bring up shit from the past.
55-39-5 against Sooner, and 17-2 against Okie aggy.
I have all the respect in the world for Sooner, and the beatings they've laid on us in the past few years, but you haven't done shit, so until you have, STFU.

Uhm, no.
I brought up the most recent point of record. You brought up a score from a few yrs ago. Last year=

Are ya starting to get it? Well, prob not...but are you at least understanding a bit?

BTW......the period is your friend. It signfies a lack of pregnancy, and the end of a sentence. Learn it, know it, live it.

3rd rate school?? I guess you fail to take into account the sum of all sports, which make up an athletic program! OSU Basketball has been tremendous! The wrestling team is always awesome.. Golf team kicks butt... Football can be frustrating, but we still have more wins against OU then UT in the recent past.. Far from 3rd rate in my opinion...

Wrestling, Golf.........that's funny. Please hang your hat on those two collegiate sports. BTW OU leads Okie State in Football 76-16-7 and in Basketball 118-88. OSU's academic program sucks as well. Like I said, 3rd rate. The facts prove it. Sorry

just dont get this train of thought....it behooves UT for OU to lose 1 game a year. SOS may not be calculated, but it is on the voters minds!

So, your claim is that Okie aggy > Texas because you beat OU more recently, even though Texas has whipped Okie Ag 7 times straight, with an overall record of 17-2 against you Ags? WTF r they smoking in Stoolwater?

I am not claiming OSU > Texas.. I was defending the 3rd rate crap with that most recent fact.. I could care less about UT's win/loss record.. If you read earlier in the post, I was ROOTIN' for UT > OU.. OU fans are a close second to Miami fans as the worst in collegiate sports.. Alas, I do not care to see OU win.. I am well aware that OSU isn't a top dog football school, I was there for 4 yrs.. As a matter of fact, Big 12 football isn't that great as a whole anyway.. USC pretty much proved that last year by dismantling our best, OU.. UT and Tech are the only schools that showed up for their bowl games.. I think Tech is going to be handing out some ass kicking’s this year anyway.. They actually know how to throw the ball... It wouldn't surprise me to see TT>UT this season.. I guess we will see in the near future..

Just curious if you had a link, or a source for this information?

I used to live in south Florida, and went to Miami for my masters.. I went to a few games and the Miami fans were just horrible.. They tried to start fights with Va Tech fans, Fl State fans, etc... Most of the people at the games didn't even go to the University.. That is how they achieved the worst fan status... OU people come to Stillwater and vandalize property, start fights, and disrespect the campus.. I consider that a close second and there are a multitude of bandwagon OU fans that partake in the above.. I have been to Norman quite a few times and dated the twirler for a while when I was in school.. Some of the students were really cool.. But there are a lot of fans that are just obnoxious.. That is the basis for my post above..
