After I saw J. Brent Cox and his implosion I was kinda nervous but I'm glad to see that the 'Horns pulled through and are moving on. Hopefully they can get it done this year because it seems like they get there every year and just fall a bit short.

Back Home In Omaha

Music & Lyrics: T. Thibaud
C & P 1999 Hill West Music, ASCAP

Well we took the field on a perfect day,
It was right out of a dream
Never seen a sky so crystal clear,
Never walked on grass so green
And in the stands when they clapped their hands,
Well I could feel it in my chest
Yeah they come from almost every State
To find out who’s the best
So put me in, I’m your man,
I promise I can do it all
And feels so good to breath the
Air back home in Omaha

From the Texas hills to the Golden Gate
To the warm Miami shore
They play the game, a thousand names
You’ve never heard before
Yeah but don’t forget a single face,
You could see that boy again
And somewhere down the road you might
Say, “hey, I remember when”
‘Cause there’s a dream in every glove,
There’s a wish on every ball
And once again they’ll make their
Name back home in Omaha

Well it feels like it might be time
Somebody gives this game a rise
Throw me one across the plate
Man I’ll put it in another State
And that ain’t no lie

When it all comes down to the final round
I’ll be right here on this hill
Yeah me and the boys are gonna make
Some noise and give this crowd a thrill
So raise that flag, sing that song and
Throw me out a brand new ball
And there’s nowhere I’d rather be
Than back home in Omaha

Back home in Omaha
Back home in Omaha

I have to support t.u. baseball . . . Taylor Teagarden (Catcher) is a family friend, and he just got drafted by the Rangers, third round (99th overall). So this will be his last CWS. He'll probably be playing in Frisco next years.

Let's get this straight: In a thread titled "Official UT CWS Thread," you sour graped TX' 32nd CWS appearance. I asked you a question about Oklahoma baseball scheduling, and in retort, you ask me if I ever talk about anything but Texas athletics?

Sooner "logik."
Gotta love it!

Hookem,

Honestly; look at your avatar, your signature, your sig photo, and your countless posts about UT athlectics. Do you even go to school there? You are ridiculous.

Do you honestly think that you may not have a little problem?

Well, lets see........why is that sig there? Oh yeah........it's CWS season. That's College World Series. It's where a team goes after they win the regionals and super regionals, to play for a national championship. You have the worst case of sour grapes I've ever seen. Hypocritical sour grapes, at that, as you just recently changed your sig pic.........chastizing me for having a Horn related sig pic, after you just removed your Sooner related sig pic....that's just rich.

Oh, you never said....who's Sooner playing this weekend in Omaha?

The NCAA granted University of Oklahoma DT Dusty Dvoracek an additional year of eligibility after he was dismissed from the football team by Head Coach Bob Stoops early in the season for what Stoops termed, "a pattern of behavior." Dvoracek petitioned the NCAA for a medical redshirt based on his alcoholism.

What triggered the dismissal?

Apparently, Dvoracek and a friend, who had known Dvoracek since at least HS, went to a bar and after consuming several beverages, got into an argument. In response to the disagreement, Dvoracek beat his friend into a coma. The friend recovered after a week or two and the family declined to press charges because they know Dvoracek, (I also believe that they are Sooner Boosters but am not 100% positive on that) and while investigating the incident, Stoops uncovered other incidents of brawling by Dvoracek and dismissed him from the football but said that Dvoracek would remain on scholarship.

Tulane or Baylor has to beat Texas twice.

Texas has a major advantage now.

Love UT to death and I hope and think they will win.

I am rooting for Baylor however cause I played baseball with Michael Griffin who is Baylor's 2nd baseman who played for Cedar Hill but is listed as being from Dallas. Weird situation because a strip of Dallas happens to be in the Cedar Hill school district, but anyways its his senior year before he is shipped on over to the Reds.

Just supporting local talent, but I am still a huge UT fan.

I can't believe Tulane folded like that. I think ASU can beat UF twice.
