he has heart, but its tough to stay motivated with players like dampier dragging the team down. plus, dirk for iverson? that would be a dumb trade b/c then we would definatley have NO big men that are good. we already have JET and findog, why another PG or SG?

b/c he choked the whole damn series. Iverson is a leader, thats something dirk has never been, he's just like Nellie, crying over that no defense playing homo Nash

Dirk for James would be the only fair trade. You can't blame it all on Dirk he has been one of the most solid players we have had.

exactly. id blame dampier and stackhouses rediculous attempts at the FG's in the suns/mavs series more than dirk.

blame stackhouse? Serious he had an outstanding series run, only reason he shot that 3 the end of the 4th is b/c they knew they just give it to dirk and he'd just throw up another brick, stackhouse has been on fire from the 3

We need to get rid of Shawn Bradley and upgrade our bench. Our starters are solid but we lose down the stretch when Damp gets in foul trouble. Damp is a good center when he wants to be, but he's more a Nazr Muhammed than a Tim Duncan. This team needs a leader and I think that after JETs success this year, he'll be our floor general next year.

Mavs need a lot of things:

1. A true point guard
2. A true big man
3. A bench that actually gets used

Iverson has only a few more years left in him!!!

dirk wont be traded for anybody but garnett or somebody else that can fill his shoes. (as the leader)

looks like we got some dirk haters... personally the only thing i see wrong with the team is dampier. i watched damn near every mavs game this year and especially the playoffs, the seires with the suns was a great set of games, i feel confident about saying the suns got a little lucky (quite a few times) throwin some ugly shit up. the bench for the mavs OWNS dude what are you talkin about? i usually dont like when people say "they were robbed" but in this case its fitting.

hold your horses, next years trade dealine will be Marquis Daniels, Finley, maybe Van Horn to a fading Cleveland for BronBron so they don't lose him for nothing at the end of the year!

yall need to put the pipe down about trading Dirk, he had a bad series against a team that was shooting lights out. You have to realize how large of an adjusment it was this year to go from running constanly to trying to play a half court game. I was disappointed this year but would like to see what happens with a little more time together.

Dirk has had a great season considering he hasnt had a Nash to play with. He was also in the top 10 with most pointes per game. Dirk is the last player we would ever trade..

put down the crackpipe!

There is a reason Dirk received 3rd in all star voting.

Finley has said he will come off the bench next year with no problem.

Stack has balls and is a tough gritty player. He is one who didn't hesitate to go to the hole and draw the foul. Stack deserves to start.

I hope AJ watched how Pop called timeouts during the series with Phoenix. He killed their momentum many times.

I think Damp doesn't understand game strategy. He looks perputally lost.

Devin will have a year under his belt and will be a better point guard.

We need a super athletic forward that can slow Amare down a little bit next year.

To get to the finals you used to have to go through Shaq.....now its Amare.

Trade Shawn Bradley? All you need to do is find another dumb son-of-a-bitch that will pay MILLIONS a year for his no-ball-playin' ass. He didn't quit trying- he NEVER DID! He's locked in till the end of his contract...several years. He's got to be the biggest vagina in the NBA.

Dirk

I don't think anybody here is a Dirk-hater but on the defensive side he gives up too much for the mavs to go anywhere in the playoffs. If he doesn't have a breakout offensive game, he's just an average player.

I say we draft another center and trade whatever we have to for Garnett. Finley has served the mavs well for years and needs to mentor his replacements and roll over into asst coach.

Nash looks better with the Suns cause of their style of play, but the mavs didn't loose anything when he left. Thats an insult to Dirk, and Amare is not better than Dirk, just different.

Mavs don't need to trade Dirk.

What the Mavs need is a field general. Dirk is not it, he's a cry baby. They need someone with on-court presence that the other players look to when shit goes bad.

The Mavs look like an all-star team when it gets to the fourth quarter. Everyone thinking of themselves.

They need someone who will take all that talent and create a cohesive unit from 1st quarter to final buzzer.

Without thinking of themselves in the process.

Dirk reminds me of Mark Aguire...but in a white-boy suit! (Giving away my age). Aguire cried constantly to Dick Motta and Richie Adobado. Same deal...crunch time, Aguire was OUT! No pressure...he was the three-point KING!

floor general

If that is what they need then go back and get Van Exel. He could lead them.
And don't just let Bradley sit on the bench, even if he fouls out in two minutes, make that bitch play.

Dirk is a great offensive player but let's get real here, he doesn't play defense. He had a horrible playoff run so don't everybody count him out.

Stackhouse on the other hand is a damn ball hog. He tries to hard sometimes. IMO he is a draft bust and I would shop him around w/finley to see what I could get.

Finley is always hurt and to be blunt, he's not the same player he was 3yrs ago. He settles for jumpshots when he could take it to the hole for FT's. I say we trade him. As a team captain he really sucks! He doesn't take command of the team.

Terry is a good pg but he just needs more time w/the team.

Daniels and Howard are good players. I hope we keep them both.

Bradley is a joke. Mini me could post him up.

PS-Lebron will never play for Dallas!

Stack has balls like Van Exel. He is gritty player who doesn't mind taking it to the paint and getting smacked around for a foul.

We barely would have made it out of the first round and would have been swept with Phoenix without him.

He would push it when the other Mavs were lagging.

Let Stack start. Finley off the bench. Armstrong, Abul-Wadad and more than likely Henderson will be gone.

Like I said we have to go through Amare now.

Stack is a solid player, we definitely should keep him around, finley still makes too much money no matter if he starts or comes off the bench and devin harris will make an impact next year at the point, I think we have too many backcourt players(terry, harris, finley, daniels, stackhouse), need to trade someone

thank you! im not the only one who sees that. yes he can be clutch at times, but the only reason he has to be clutch is for all his other selfish ball hogging "ideas" that result in a turnover.

Other than Dirk who starts: Stackhouse assist per game is a little higher than Finleys and higher than any other forward on the Mavs.

WTF?

i find that hard to believe being how stack is such a ball hog, but ill believe you, no need to pull the stats up.

he is a great player dont get me wrong, just i sometimes think he has blinders on his eyes and is only thinking of himself.

Dirk Needs To Go Back To F'n Germany, They Need To Keep Everyone Else Besides Bradley, He Is Just A Giraffee With Long Arms, I Liked The K.g. Idea, That Is A Bad-mad-ballin-boy, Forget Lebron, He Is Just A Big Headed Aerogant Kid That Is Soaking Up Too Much........last Year Was The First Year They All Played Together, Next Year With Jet And Howard Out There, They Will Be Fine, If Everyone Would Just Play Defense Like Howard They Would Never Loose, Shoot If They Just Played In The Playoffs Like They Did The Last 15 Games Of The Season No One Would Have Beaten Them......
