Glowing red exhaust ATV

Ok, I may sound stupid here but I'm not a MC guy. I was revving up the Kawa ATV on the trailer, just to run it and the header/pipe was glowing red. Is this normal? I have never noticed it before so was curious to know. Thanks.

So you're sayin it would be ok if you branded yourself on it?
