Need throttle bodies sync'd on a TL1000R - anyone wanna make a little side $$$

I think I know how to do this, but I dont have the gauge to do it. Anyone in the area have the gauge that I can hook up to the throttle bodies and measure the vacuum? This thing is hiccuping and has small backfires through the throttlebodies. Also, when you rev it up, it sloooowly comes down. I'm pretty sure this is an air/fuel issue. There is no hang in the throttle. I've had shops quote me from 60-200 to do this. But none of them can get to it till as soon as next tuesday which is forever when you have a new (to me) bike. lol I'm in bedford if anyone wants to help out.

2007 GMC Sierra RCSB - It breathes better now and looks better than stock.
2008 Honda 700XX - Doesn't need any mods.

yea, if you use the same paperclip and the thickness doesn't change..........just have to find which throttle plate is operated by the throttle and set the idle srew up enough to get the paperclip in, then go to the other plate and set accordingly.

Is this your 1st v-twin sport bike?
What kind of "hiccups" are you talking about?
How many miles?
I am on my second v-twin and both hiccup'd below 2k rpm and both backfired thru the carbs after engine braking or snapping the throttle from idle. My super hawk feels as tho it could dent the tank from underneath on occasion. I raised the idle to 1500-1600 which helped a lot. They tend to load up(carb'd models). Yours if FI so it will be less. Check for a vac leak first. It may just be a line off or crack in the TB boot. Also, the throttle pos sensors are off from the factory. My gsxr was and really helped idle and decel issues once corrected.

My 98 TLR would occasionally give a strong pop backfire the first month or two after I bought it(used). At first I was scrambling to find a programmer to lean it back some.
Folks on the tlr forums said an occasional backfire was normal.

I didn't get a programmer, but I did pay more attention to how I was driving it.
Not sure what has changed, but for the past 2 years no backfires.

Current Status - It's at a buddies who works for a local dealership. He's taking care of it for me since he used to own one himself and knows them backwards and forwards. Right now he's looking for the top piece to the air box with the valves in it. I guess you can run with out that but you need a PC3. Hopefully he can fix it all up. The previous owner told me it needed the TB's sync'd, and judging by the dealermode, the TPS needed adjusted as well. Doesn't look like I could ride it much this week anyway, so no biggie. I also noticed it liked to idle - until it got up to operating temp. Then it didn't want to idle at all. Sitting at a light i would just turn it back on when the light turns green lol

btw, this is my first vtwin.

i've known daniel since his mid teens, he was our tire changer on the truck team, and helped the mallory's with the world of outlaw sprint cars. This is tough for alot of people involved as I lashed the valves on his bike the saturday before the accident. I'll post funeral arrangements when i get the details.

did this happen on cooper street or just off cooper on Bardin. I passed by a bike wreck last week on Bardin just west of Cooper that looked pretty bad.

Our government needs our help, they have an addiction. Our government is addicted to our money. Since they always have our best interest at heart it's time we return the favor. We need to have an intervention, for the governments own good of course. It's just irresponsible for us to let people with a known money addiction continue to handle our money. Lets have an intervention now so we can help these sick individuals.
