Am I over my mid-life crisis?

I haven't rode the CBR in about a month. Should I sell it? or trade it for a cruiser? I'm just over it, I guess.

I'll accept trades or a good offer to buy.

I couldn't find a good one with just Michelle. I'm in love with her.

I think I'll take the bike out this afternoon. Maybe it'll rekindle the relationship. Safer?! Didn't u just break your head or something?

I'm gonna take the Truck to Baytown this Friday, I think I'll bring the bike along. Never tried my hand at launching it hard.

I think there's a reason that you don't see as many "older" guys on sportbikes. The feeling of invincibility fades as we experience more life, and the risk vs. reward shifts. Not to mention that the riding position becomes damn uncomfortable.

I mean really. Last time I crashed and broke my collar bone, it was off a 100 foot triple, I cased the landing, and fell prob 80 ft down a steep hill, coming 10-15ft from air to ground. It was some knarly shit. And I got up and walked away 60 seconds later. I know ppl that have rode a streetbike down the street and ended up dead. Dirt brushes off, concrete and metal always win the battle with the body.

I couldn't take my eyes off of a black Suzuki M109 that was at the gas station last week. Black w/ chrome. Nice bike.

I'm just starting to realize just how boring it is for a bike rider like myself. People around here POSE UP TOO MUCH. I like to get out and RIDE. And my office is a 5 mile drive from my house. Put on a bunch of gear, ride for 10 minutes and then take it off and put on some decent work clothes. sigh.........no fun.

I loved commuting from Cedar Hill to Frisco everyday when i lived out there with ya'll At least the commute was an hour and I would change into dress clothes when I got to Ericsson. City riding is fantastic!

This summer I started not wearing a jacket. (Yeah, I know) It was hot as hell, and I never got above 40mph and was stopping at traffic lights every few feet. I never would go fast enough for some wind to get through the jacket.

Kids don't help either.
I'd love to have a bike to ride at the track, but man...I just hate to lay down thousands for what would amount to 2-3 weekends of fun a year.

I know a woman a bit over 50 that rides an R6. If she has the balls to do it at that age I sure hope I do.

There are exceptions to every rule. I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for sportbikes, riding's just gotten knocked down a few rungs on the priorities list.

O.K...I am joining late..but I am in the same boat..I am actually over my sportbike..been riding for 10yrs..and I have this crazy pull towards a cruiser now..when I am not riding i don't really miss it..but when I get on it and ride its still fun as hell (only for a short time) then My shoulders and back start to hurt...my r1 is uncomfortable as hell...I am looking at cruisers now too..alot of my younger friends I ride with always get on my ass for not splitting cars and riding like an idiot anymore..I guess it is that risk vs. reward thing...hell I enjoy just riding I don't have to go mach2 everywhere..maybe I need just damn cruiser now....hmmm
shit I just posted my r1 up for sale anyway
after I sell the r1 not sure what I want to get...its going to be a busa,zx14, or a cruiser..

in my opinion, as i am sure in many others', old is a relative term. when it's getting uncomfortable to be in sportbike riding position for, i would say, more than an hour, you might want to reconsider your choice of motorcycle.
