Thumbs down F**king 'nother pair of gloves

Dammit. This pair didn't even make a year I've been good about keeping them clean and not stuffing them in my helmet after a ride. At least these weren't expensive like my previous set of Icon gloves.

Motoliberty N2 gloves.

I've been using some Icon Super Duty gloves for about a year and a half and they've done fine so far with no tears (haven't looked at them since last Sat, though). Went down on them once before and they survived.

I have some Taichi ones.... best gloves ever. I spent a bill on them, and they have been well worth it so far. Picked them up at Motoliberty as well.

yep, i got some gp evo's a while back and really like them. tested them out soon after and they worked great and still 100% useable. very comfy right out of the box, too.

that pic reminds me of the shitting stitching on my old joe rocket speedmaster gloves. i crashed where my hands barely even touched the ground and it blew out the stitching on the ends of about half the fingers worse than that. i was NOT impressed.

I might just sew up the finger tip myself until after the new year and buy some higher end gloves. I think these only ran me $20-30 on sale. I knew you get what you pay for but I honestly thought these would last a little while. My first pair of gloves were Joe Rockets and they did the same fucking thing My Icon's actually wore through on one finger and I'm sure it was a problem with the way I stored them (in my helmet most of the time) but at least they lasted over a year.

Dammit I wish I had bought those Held Gloves that New Enough had on clearance a while back

I'm up for some new gloves.
Any good suggestions ? I'll spend up to 100 dollars ....so I really want the best

BTW what is wrong with storing them in your helmet?
Mine took about a year of abuse, the fingers wore through. I belive they were joe rocket ones

My Alpinestars have about 3600 miles on them and are holding up well. They ran about 60-70 bucks. They also have carbon fiber in the knuckles....

I have these same ones... I can't honestly say I've put a ton of miles on them though.... they're good for summer gloves, but breath too much for any winter riding!

Buy some glove liners (basically thin tight fitting gloves) from cycle gear, I've been using the $9 ones since...2003? Works great.

If your gloves fit too tight for liners try latex gloves inside your riding gloves, really works surprisingly well.

I have had my current A* gloves for approximately 6-7K miles, no issues. Stiching is fine, leather is too.

It really does seem that you get what you pay for. A friend has had some Dainese gloves for years, tens of thousands of miles, they still look great.

Buy my 98 Civic 5spd - New A/C $2250 over 40mpg on the [email protected]

Supposedly storing them in your helmet is a bad thing, especially in the summer when the inside of your helmet is damn and dark. Ruins the leather.

What do you use them for? Motorcycle gloves tend to get more abuse (IMO) than work gloves. At least my Craftsman leather gloves have lasted a few years now.

When I first bought these N2 gloves was early this year when it was still cold. I've got the blue glove liners from Moto Liberity and they helped tremendously with the wind although it did take away from some of the flexibility.

I picked up a set of Teknic gloves from a place Marissa recommended www.motodepot.com for like 39.95 I have around 8,000 miles on them now and they are not showing any wear. I had the N2's as well and for 19.95 they were not bad, they lasted around 15,000. However I like the Teknic's better due to geing a gauntlet glove, and better knuckle protection.

I wound up getting some RS Taichi Velocity Leather Mesh Carbon Gloves from Swamp Donkey for like $25.

Can't beat them for the price but the leather feels thinner than the N2 gloves that they are replacing and pretty perforated. Probably going to save up and get some nice gauntlet gloves next. The Taichi's flow just a bit to well, had to wear some liners the last couple of times I rode because it was pretty cool out.

This is going to be a HUGE ride....AZ from Streetfighterz and Dan Jackson are both coming down to ride in it, along with the DSR crew and all the other local stunters.

Gonna be good times for sure. This is going to be a stunt ride though, so for those that aren't into that, be warned.

How do we shut down the freeways? Simple.

Those were pics I took at the Streetfighterz Ride of the Century over the past couple of years, but I'd expect similar antics during this ride.

Little Sahara

Just got back from another trip. Wind blew hard, but that made for some nice smooth sand, some dunes were forming into razor backs. Thought I'd share a few pics. Had some real nice trail runs, since the blowing sand covered most of whoopty doos.
