Actually the rear end is all over my garage going to do a side mounted license plate and shave the beaver tonight, and hopefully lower it 2". After that wanna replace front and rear turn signals then I'll turn to some performance stuff.

Being only 20 the stealers dont want to deal with me to much so I got it for 12.3 out the door but I have heard ppl getting them for 11.3 to 11.6 out the door is not unusual.

Here is a link to the WFAA traffic video that shows the back up on Belt Line and 114... but gives no information. Everything at this point is pure speculation based on remnants of glass at the accident scene. His family is up north and they won't release any information to friends or co-workers.

I'm typing this from his computer. I brought my aunt over here to make arrangements for his dog.

Shinko Tires

just got a Iron Pony catalog in the mail and was looking at tires. first I noticed that Continental bike tires are pretty cheap. then I saw the Shinkos and was like Was thinking they must be pretty crappy to be cheap, but then again I've never heard of them. I know I've seen the Shinko Stealth tire on a bike at kennedale.
And, if they're any good, what's the best Shinko?

damn, only 5K? I swear I got my last bike with 13K, and replaced the tires (dunlop) a little after, and sold it with 22K with still lots of tread left.

know anything about the Shinko Advance tires? I have an Fz1, but ride with more of a sport touring attitude than super sport-type driving.

they don't make those anymore, and you can only find them on closeout at places. that's what I put on my old bike and had good wear. sucks. and I'm needing a 190/50/17 for the rear if you find a place that has any pairs.

I was guessing on the Raven's, it may be more. I ride with at least 3 people who swear by them. If you are riding the way you say you do they should last quite awhile then.

I have Avon 45/46 Combo and have 5k on them and they are supposed to be good for 8-12k on my bike.

I hate you guys, by 5K I'm usually showing cord on the middle left and middle right sides of my front tire and down the middle of my rear tire.

I've never used Shinko's, but they seem to be popular with the drag racing crowd down in my area.

I was a dunlop guy forever, but was forced to use some Michelin's and I've been a Pilot Power ever since, SWEAR by them. Great grip, get sticky (up to temp)fast, predictable feel at the limit of traction, nice wear too.

Buy my 98 Civic 5spd - New A/C $2250 over 40mpg on the [email protected]

what about Continentals? I was also looking at those and they seem pretty bad ass for the price.

Iron Pony Motorsports has some awesome prices on the Shinkos, cheaper than I'm finding on ebay, and they have free shipping on anything over $100, so that's prob where I'll be getting my tires.

Ill stick with the Pilot Powers or the Perellis. Course i do trackdays and twisties.

1 bad thing ive kinda noticed about the PP is after 1500 miles or so of serious heat cycles it takes alot longer now too get them heated and there is still plenty of tread but on the Perillis it didnt matter.

The Qualifier is what replaced the 208. Right at the same price but better performance.

Came right off the TR website:

- Successor to the D208ZR sport radial
- Brings racetrack-level performance to the street w/quicker handling
- Bigger footprints at all lean angles yield more grip and traction
- Use of latest compounds allow significant increase in land area in the tread pattern for improved grip
- The Qualifier heats up faster and is stickier than the D208ZR

I have one on my bike and I can tell the difference between it and the 208's that I ran. Great tire in my opinion These things heat up fast and stick great even on old slick asfault (spell?) work well in the rain as far as treading the water. I'm sticking with these I was a big fan of the 208's and these are just that much better.

wow, sounds kinda like the roads were unfriendly today. i was on main st. lewisville and some prick was completely running cars off the road. i almost got rear ended by him on a lane change (he cut across 2 lanes and flew past me). then on the highway he squeezed into my lane and i ended up between a semi and his car riding on the line. i decided i wanted his mirror more than he did. shit like this is really making me wonder how worth it it is to ride. RIP

some people are like slinkies; they're completely useless, but still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
