It's mandatory attendence for the Angels, so you know I'll be there.

I was told last year that 4-5 times more bikes showed up than Sonic in its heyday, so it'll def. be good times!!

Cool, hopefully it'll be a good turnout. Last time I went to Whataburger I was pretty dissappointed with the turnout

Last time I went to that whatabuger was about 6-7 years ago. Rode from Longview that morning to hang out in dallas. We made it to whataburger about 9:00 and only 1 bike. With in a hour there where 300. Then we rode to post & padock (sp?) I think to street race. Again that was 6-7 years ago.

rear tire decision...

Currently running a Dunlop 220 because i was doing a lot of long traveling and needed something that would last a little longer and still offer decent performance. Well i no longer drive 500 miles a week on my bike and want to go to a more performance oriented tire.

My dilema is my front tire only has 2k miles on it, so it does not need changing. Its a dunlop 208GP so it will probally go for another 3-4k miles.

So do i go ahead and run a Dunlop 208ZR rear so they will match. Ive heard horror stories of using 2 different brands of tires. Just wondering if they were true. Ive not run a 208 rear before so im not sure on its performance or how long it would last. All my riding i do is Very spirited as we hit the twisties out here in east texas at least 1-2 times a week. Just wanting something to perform well and hopefully last a few thousand miles.

**Finally got my knee down on the street for the first time last weekend. Scared me Drug the peg as well though, so i guess i need to come off the bike slightly more to reduce my lean angle to keep the peg off the ground.

I don't really know how much an older front tire would affect having a new rear and it being a race tire on the front. A front tire is pretty cheap. I would go ahead and get two brand new tires. Keep that GP tire as a spare incase you get a hole in another tire down the road. Congrats on the knee down! Did you have knee pucks? I have yet to have good enough tires now that I can put a knee down to do it on the street. That takes some ballz. Do you have feelers on your pegs? I would take those off asap if you do. They could upset the chasis and cause you to go down if you drag them enough. Better body position will help that out but if your bikes pegs are just to low not a lot you can do about it besides rearsets. I would get some good boots too because you could start dragging your toe on the ground. I've already gashed up my toe sliders pretty good. Mad props for the knee down! Wait until I get my sweet digi camera and we will get it on camera.

Yea, i guess i could go ahead and get a front and rear for like $225.

I find that its not so much the tires that make the difference (most sport tires are good), but the road surface. There are much better "twisty" roads here in east texas than around DFW in my experiences. The only road around up there is 157 and Ida which ive never ridden.

And yes i had knee pucks on, i wear a Joe Rocket GPX 2 piece suit with GPX boots with toe sliders. The bike doesnt have feelers on the pegs, and i really think with a slight body position change it wont be a problem. If it continues to be one though, i will simply go to a smaller aftermarket peg, as the factory one is huge and fat.

Sounds good! Maybe I can get out there with ya sometime soon and we drag some serious knee.

The front, yes...It was a race takeoff that had virtually no wear even on the sides, got it for 30 bucks. It has performed great, and it really doesnt seem to wear any faster than the 208ZR i had in the front in the past.

I pretty much always run race compound tires. Right now I'm running Power Race. They are dual compound tires. Medium center and soft sides. They've worked VERY well for about the past 2000 miles.

2k5 600 gixxer FTP switch.

So I figure someone on here has done it.

I spent last night lookin for the ground wire for the lights and the main ground for just the rear.

anyone got the wiring diagrams or know where the easiest spot in the harness is to cut into to put my brake light kill switch.

I know some of the drag racers have to have a kill switch for the track but i just want to be able to kill the front and rear lights independently.

I know its illegal to have such a device but i want to be able to sneek up on stuff or run away. Its just nice to have.

thanks

ubil

btw, save the "if you could ride you wouldnt need it" crap as I dont run nor plan on runnin from cops.

apparently we are here to help each other disable safety features on our motorcycles.

FYI, if you are as smart as you think you are, you should be able to figure it out very easily, these bikes are very basic electrically.

It would suck to be hit by a car because you accidently hit the switch.

I honestly dont think too manyof you guys would miss me if I was killed.

its ok.

anywho I did it and ya know its not easy to do.... feedback voltage and diodes are required if your using the stock blinker wiring for your turn signals.

I actually can understand why no one would want to post up the way to do this.
(with all the lawyer happy sue freaks out, one could get oneself into quite a legal problem if someone else died cause what david said happens.)

and as for accidentaly hitting the switch I built a safety feature that wont allow me to kill myself.

sorry fellas you will have to wait to not go to my funeral.

I've got them

I have a 2000 ZX6R with 2 switch's. One kills my tail light and my gauges. The other kills my head light's. I have it hooked up where once i kill them and turn them back on, they wont turn on till I hit the brake. Once I hit the brake they click on.

Just played Motogp4 Demo (ps2)

I went to walmart to pick up Socom3 and noticed this kid playing a bike game. Im like ahhh heck its motoGP4! So I kicked him off that mofo and I took over. That game is freaking fun! You guys that like motorcycle road racing will have to pick it up so we can have a dfwstangs online race! Graphics look real and it play like real life! Going into a corner ballz out late braking that back end stepping out as I was backing it in. Freaking awesome. And I was running up on a couple guys and all of the sudden out of no where one of them loses the back and highsides like a mofo! Man that was pretty sweet! I know I will buy it when it comes out and I hope you peeps do to so we can race online.

They're coming out w/ a game for bikes comprable to that of Gran Turismo. It has the 05 models too. You can customize the hell outta the bikes, like you can the cars in GT. Ill find it and throw up a link.

50 pride I don't know a ton about dirbikes, but everyone I talk to says go 4 stroke, far as ease of ownership. My CRF50 is a 4 stroke, and its been great, can't complain, I gotta think the bigger 4 stroke engines are the same story.
