I went down tonight on the bike.

Got the bike home, and decided to take it for a spin around the block.

Tried to pop a little wheelie and I was in too high of a gear, so I downshifted and did it again, Damn, thing came up so fast I was on my ass before I could say "Oh Shit".

I'm okay, but the bike is a little scraped up.

Thumbs up

Try lowering your tire pressure in back, and lowering the seat as to acheive a better BP!

She's already seen it. Don't you remember that's why she blocked your AIM and got that restraining order?

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Talking Impulse Buy

Hmm.... I'd been thinking about getting a bike forever, but for some reason, the sense of self-preservation always kept me in cars and away from bikes. Friends don't let Andi get bikes (TM).

A couple weeks ago I found myself leaving the DaimlerChrysler SRT experience in my Viper after a day of fun at Texas Motor Speedway.... a group of sportbikes was waiting at the gas station and merged on behind me on 114... I knew I was going to get my ass handed to me in my lil ol stock '06 coupe, but it was fun.

At least I had my digital camera with me for the drive... (Note: driving, shifting, and video-ing all at the same time is harder than you might think):
http://www.boostaholic.com/tmp/2007_02_25_bikes/

So this chick on a gray R1 beats me to 150..... then gets in my lane, leans on my mirror and starts talking to me through my open window at 90mph. That was the straw that broke the camel's back.. my non-bike days were over.

I went out and bought a new R1 a week and a half later... first time I ever rode a sportbike. It's the blue one:

Damn. This thing is fast. What did I just do?

Rmz-250

What u think of the new suzuki 250F? I like the bike, I think Im gonna get one just for kicks, (and tailwhips lol) since its gonna be super light compared to my 450. Plus you know Ron Hamp has been telling me he can coax 42 plus RWHP out of the motor with stock displacement. Should be a fun ride.

Anyone ever rode a 450 and switched back down to a 250F? Ive never been on a 250 F on the track, and the 450 def. helps me make big jumps....I rode a friends crf the other day and it was def lightweight, seems like i could throw it around in the air pretty well.

Just read a bike shootout on the 07' 250f's. The sazook took the #1 spot over all with the best power and traction. April Dirt Rider is the one that its in. The dry weight was 204# and race ready was 214# very light compared to the 450's.

According to the same write up the Kawi had traction issues - FYI. Not that you couldn't fix that

The 250F will seem like a bicycle with a motor compared to your 450F.

Ive gotten pretty good with throwing the 450 around. Im in the best shape I been in a while, and its easy to manuver in the air, but sometimes in ruts and weird corners Ill still stand it up and get all slow lol. I cant decide between the kawi and the suzuki, all the suzuki hype has got me wanting one, but fuck look at the records with the kawi, pro circuit bikes win all the time, and with lots of riders. Im gonna put a kit stuff on whichever one i get from pro circuit, Im a dealer for them now. Hmmm, kawi or suzuki, damn you.

But really, i was wondering about the power being less, how is jumping affected? I mean, sometimes I have to get on the gas pretty hard on the 450 to clear some jumps, I dont wanna be coming up short on the 250F. Im a portly 195 lbs with no gear, I wonder how the 35 HP is gonna be compared to the almost 60 Im putting down with my Ron Hamp ported 450.....

I have a 07 kawi 250F and love it. 210lb rider. I'm using it for woods riding though, so I don't know about the jumps part. I know there is alot of guys on the motocross tracks with them though. First ones had a bearing issue in the tranny. They didn't sit in the dealerships long so that shouldn't be a issue. Read up here.

May be getting a new bike soon

Got a kid from Bells/Savoy area wanting my bike, and the money is right. But, I can't not have a bike, and i'm thinking about getting a Harley. I've rode some of my friends bikes, a 2004 1200 Sportster, 2002 Dyna Wide Glide, and a 2002 FatBoy.

Ideas?
Opinions?
Recommendations?

TIA
