Thumbs up left work early to go ride one of these

We sold one to a guy and he wanted it delivered to his boat house so I volunteered to do the job. 215hp supercharged and it will haul some major ass. It gets to 70mph in less than 4-5 seconds from a dead stop.

i believe my uncle has a couple of those. Do they make the same thing in a three seater as well? I doubt the three seater is as fast, but probably just as fun.

The three seater is an RXT. It has the same engine and pump as the two seater but does not have trim. Those things are crazy, the more people you get on it the faster it will go. They aren't quite as fun to ride as the two seater but will still haul some freight.

Muenster? Or do we want to give Twin Hills another shot? Rocky Ridge was a little fun but it's no Muenster!!

Finnaly got something on twin hills

Here is what it says

Twin Hills is open, but it sucks. I went there a few weekends ago just to get in a ride. The trails in the main track and wore out, and the rest are tore up from quads. Plus part of the property is now fenced off.

Hmmmm, I'm not sure about the 2hr drive. There's not enough pictures for me to really get an idea of how good the place really is. If Twin Hills sucks then lets just go to Red River. We know it's worth the 2 hr drive.

I hope you're getting brain surgery!!

BTW...looks like I may be out for this weekend. I pulled my bike apart for that shifting problem I was having and itl ooks like I may have a slightly bent shift shaft. I probably wont get the parts for a week or so.

I'm not sure that replacing the shift shaft is going to fix my problem yet, but I sure hope so...I don't want to have to pull the motor completely apart to get to the shift forks if I dont have to. I'm trying to locate one locally, Central Yamaha has one but I'm not sure if I'm going to make it over there yet.

Any of you guys interested in a "track only" bike?

I've put my GP bike up for sale, and thought I would see if any of you guys would be interested in it.

Moving back up to a big bike to chase some cash. The contingency is just too temping these days. Ty Howard is pulling in a little over $8k per weekend. I need some of that money.

Probably get the new GSXR600 or the Honda 600RR so I can run it in both the 600 and 750 class.

You can get a decent mid 90's RS125-RS250 for anywhere from 3-7k. Just depends on the condition, spares included, etc.

Mines up for $4500. I've got a crap load of spares and high dollar parts to go with it though. But, as Matt said, usually anywhere from 3-7k.

Purpose build race bike. Not a street bike thats been converted. VERY quick bike! But, it could never be a street bike.

Yeah thats similar to my motor. That shaft does look a lil bent but guessing it would effect all gears not just 3rd if that was the problem.

I hate to say it but If rpm makes a diff then its the a shift fork. My old 250 did that, under hard throttle it would not shift and when I replaced the bad fork it was fine.

Yamahas = inconvenient to work on. If you get it all setup right before you go to the track...you're good to go, but if the weather changes etc, changing the bike usually takes a little while longer on a yamaha.

Just my experience anyway....

Used to have sponsors. But, I let them all go. I like to race for fun now. If I don't win, then oh well. If you have a sponsor(major sponsor), then you have all of that pressure of doing good.
I spent a lot of years in this sport, and it was my job for a good part of 5 years. Now I'm just having fun with it.

And Jose, the Yamaha's are a pain in the butt. But, I just don't like the way they feel on the track. Who knows, maybe I'll break the Duc out on the track

Well I'm not good enough for a major sponsor. I would just like to get someone to help me out so I could afford to have fun at the track.

Good luck! Thats pretty tough to do.
I was running a national series of televised races, and I was placing in the top 10, And it was everything I could do to get someone to help me out. Little things are easy to take care of(tires, oil, brakes, etc...). It's getting someone to fork over the cash that is difficult. And cash is whats going to make a difference.
I remember one year Dunlop gave me a $10k tire deal and I was only able to use about half of it because I couldn't get to the races. I only made 6 of the 12 rounds that year. Sucked Ass!

You're probably right. I just picked up a new shift shaft from Central Yamaha. The old one was defintely bent so I'm gonna put it back together and see how it does this weekend.

good luck. sponsorship is an investment, if you don't make them money, they're not gonna give you any. and its hard to expect anyone to give money towards your hobby. i wish i had ditched cars and started racing bikes a long time ago, could have saved a lot of money that way. i can barely afford to do track days let alone race.
