Im needing something that stands out at the get togethers and shows.. thanks

What are you planning on doing with it? Fat tire won't handle for shit from what I've heard. You planning on drag racing with that extended swing arm?

nope its going to be mainly for show. I really like how they look and thats what I bought this bike for is because of its reputation. Im not planning on doing any fast riding around turns or anything on this one but I might end up buying another bike pretty soon just to go riding with but I need this bike looking as bad ass as possible

Short of airbrushing there isnt much you can do to really make them look insane. If you plan on publicizing the powdercoating business, Id find something exotic like glow in the dark paints and what not to use. something crazy and expensive lookin so everyone will think you can pull any shit at any expense.

It already has a black frame and rims, what other color would you possibly consider for the metal parts, bubble gum pink?

WHAT are you talking about?? How is the busa not street friendly? That is a very nice bike, I have always loved the copper color.

Thats gonna be a lotta copper orange, I'd keep the black bits to provide a bit contrast. If it were me, I'd focus the bucks on lowering/suspension/arm/wheels, and lots of billet accessories; that and maybe some flashy airburshing here and there (though I'd try to keep it subtle as that orange/copper color is so cool). The only problem though is im trying to show my powder coating work with this bike so just doing a bunch of black isnt going to do much justice, know what I mean, thats the only reason im wanting to at least do the wheels and then again do you think I should just do the spokes and leave the whole rim/lip black?? I hear what your saying trust me but look at it through my point of view also.. so what do you think now hehehe?

Well If it was mine and I was looking to make it stand out I would get it painted some kind of theme(airbrushed something)then powder coat everything to corrdinate with the theme.

I see what your saying, Paul. You may consider getting a nice set of wheels (oversized in back like you mentioned), do a really nice job powder coating the spokes (to match copper orangee) and leaving the dish high polished; then bulk up on other billet accessories, and powder coat all that stuff (like pegs, misc hardware, detail stuff that might be overlooked otherwise).

I'd also use your powder on the tripple clamps, but get a nice engraved recess in the upper that bears the name of your business, so the 1st thing yousee when on the bike is your company name. I'd powder coat the fairing stay, and all the other metal cockpit bits orange too.

I'd still leave the frame/arm black. If you make that copper, it'll look like your tryin to hard (in my opinion), that and unless its a spot on match, any varience in color that close to the body pieces will look wack.

Exclamation

whats wrong with buble gum pink???

paint it like a copperhead snake with greenpearl/ghost scales.

go look up something in a book and make it look like it, tribal is ghey and the black frame needs to go.

what about flipping all the colors around... copper frame with black things that cant be powdercoated...

that way only the powder coat will be the colored stuff, everything else is black.

okay what do you honestly think about what I have done with her so far?? I powder coated the exhaust high heat and then powder coated the rear peg brackets and all the bolts that hold the rear plastics black also to match the bike. I also cut off that ugly plate frame on the tail and custom made my own bracket off of the swingarm for the plate. what do you think?? thanks, Paul -- I will keep posting progression pics as I keep powder coating. im also going to order my swingarm and fat tire this week, cant wait

Looks good, but I'd invest my time in coating it after you've allocated all of the aftermarket parts.

I say paint it white and do the frame and all of the other black bits a different color to contrast it. I fell in love with the white R1 someone did, it looks clean as hell.

Those copper busas are such nice bikes stock, I think if you do too much coating on it, the bike will look gaudy. Maybe use the bike like it is to tow around a trailer with coated pieces of metal on display..lol That would advertise your buisness, and the bike would still look good

BTW, I liked the contrast of the silver in the exhaust. With it coated now, there is too much black.

If it were me and the bike were strictly for business I would do one side of the bike different than the other. Even do the rims different on each side. You could have two totally differeny crazy designs.

I wouldnt want to ride a bike like that though. I guess it would depend on how different each side really was. Just an idea.

I like the sticker, if you are talking about the jap symbol on either side in the front. No other bike out there besides the Busa has it and gives it a definitive look. Great job paul. Ill be heading over to my Bro's house on Tuesday to grab his camera and snapping some pics of your magnificent work that you did for my Bike! Ill send them soon.

thanks alot guys im very happy with the bike. Im in agreement with the exhaust but they were pretty rough and scratched up pretty bad. Im getting a new yoshimura setup and cant wait because the exhaust is such an eye sore to me also. As far as the undertail Hurley, im not real sure? I traded a guy powder coating for it but I have seen it on ebay and I changed the bulbs out for led's and it is so much better.. I will post more pics in a couple of days hopefully when I have everything blacked out on the bike. thanks alot
