Anyone have any Chatterbox experience?

Me and a buddy have been thinking about buying a pair and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them as far as reliability and range.

So no one has any personal experience with them? Hate to shell out the big bucks for it without knowing more. One cool thing I do like is that they are compatible with the FRS Frequency's so anyone with those walkie talkies will be able to talk to you from a car or whatever.

Anyone have a hookup on them

what was it doing at arlington autocare? i used to work at sterling auto express right up the street from there. thats a bad area for something nice such as your bike. that really sux man i hope they find it.

seems there has been a couple of shops being broken into at night around there. i worked this weekend at sterlings to help out and they told me that someone had broken into the lube center. they lost some tools, a weedeater, and vandalized the lobby area. im really glad to be outta that place now. i used to work late at night up there and used to see all kinds of wierdo shit!

yea, I dont like them either, but I dont like stock, and I dont wanna fill the holes that those signals are covering up...so they'll stick around until I get creative and mount some hidden LEDS under a plastic plate

Hidden stuff is the shit..but thats more time than I think its worth if I'm not getting paid to do it

Angry Woohoo flat tire

I pulled my bike out to go riding before it started raining again and my buddy told me my tire looked low. i hadnt gotten around to checking stuff yet i was just backing it out of the garage. i checked the back tire and pushed it all the way to the damn rim. rolled the bike around a little and found a damn industrial staple in my tire . my bikes only got 200 miles on it and i already need a new tire this blows.. im about to read my tire replacement contract and see if it requires me to replace it with stock or if i can upgrade. if they let me upgrade the tires what should i go with?

Stock should be pretty good. If those tires only have 200 miles on em u can plug em (assuming you dont do any crazy shit) I rode 500+ miles on a tire with an autozone ATV plug... I dont buy new tires anymore just because I know I'll wind up getting a flat before I run the tread down, so I just get a used race takeoff for under $100 and deal with that until It starts showing thread or picks up a nail.

[EDIT]<---freaky post count

race take- offs

look around different forums. try dfwsportbike.com they usually have sets of race takeoffs for around 200 bucks. and find someone that can mount and balance for real cheap. it gets kind of pricy.

like I said I wouldnt recomend riding hard on a plugged tire, no wheelies, nothing over 70 or so on the freeway, but it sure beats the hell out of paying $100+ for a new tire every other week.

oh well damn, i dont do wheelies but i cant stand being slow either. i have a tire replacement program so i get my money back from the tire, looks like ill fork over the cash for the next week or 2

Man, I rode my last tire with a plug. well over 150MPH several times. Take it to Saben Performance over off from Walnut Hill, he uses a plug/patch......looks like a dart and its from the inside out rather than the other way around. He charged me $20 and I put about 2000 miles on the tire and never had any pressure loss or anything.

i got the ICON Team Merc mesh jacket. i like it but wish i had got a color other than all black it gets hot a hell when im stoped. great jacket for the money but i cant really say on how it would hold up if you go down cause i havent yet. the 2 you listed seem to be pretty poular around here and i would think you would be pretty happy with any of them.

Mesh does not hold up for more than one fall (unless it is a 15mph fall). I've seen a guy do down with textile pants and his ass was road rashed to hell.

A good mesh jacket will hold up good. A leather jacket in this heat would be killer.
