Happened to me once on my first R6. Combination of wind, rain, and parking on dirt. With the rain and wind the kickstand dug into the ground and tipped over. Fortunately my Mustang broke the fall of my bike

i know thats what i thought, etheir it was bumped in the back by a car or the wind blew it over. the front fairing hit the curb and then slid off on to the ground.
the more and more i think about it, i think somebody bumped it with a car not paying attention and trying to pull into the parking spot, because it hit the curb in front of it instead of the one next to it, the wheel was locked to the left. it was parked in the very first spot and there was a very small bush(no leaves on it) that could have blocked the view.

What tickets could a cop write if you were riding a wheelie on the highway?

What tickets could a cop write if you were riding a wheelie on the highway doing the speed limit and werent switching lanes or anything? Im pretty sure you could get a wreckless endagerment fine but other than that? Im asking because I was talking to Greg Fowler today and hes was telling me that he did a 17 mile wheelie last night. I asked him if he gets in trouble by any cops or what do they do when they see him and he said they dont really fuck with him. I think Id end up being arrested and my bike impounded if it happend to me.

They will give you whatever they want, they can make up shit too just so you have to fucking deal with it. I had a friend get a ticket for Exhibition of Deceleration when he did a stoppie at a light. Morale of story, dont be a jackass. No on cares if you can do a standup wheelie for 1 mile, let alone 119,124,123.

I road a HD Road King last Sunday afternoon.

....and I hated it... If a motorcycle couldnt be any more heavier the road king is the pig of all pig bikes.

I didnt like the way it made power. I didnt like the way it shook. I didnt like the way it handled. It was a $25,000 dollar, dude theirs not even a word to describe how heavy it was...

If I had $25,000. I'd buy 3 GSXR 1000's before I bought a HD Road King.

My two cents. Sorry to piss off any harley riders.

I like some Harleys but not the road kings. I don't feel they are that heavy but I am used to heavy bikes. Shaking is part of being a Harley. Some like it. Harley now offers some of theirs Vtwins that are balanced that do not vibrate much at all. Their is no way in hell I would pay 25K for any bike either. Is this the first Harley you have ridden? I am guessing you normally ride a sportbike since your reaction is typically what I hear someone say that rides a sportbike and gets on a Harley. I got to ride a fuel injected/ balanced Duece a while back. It was very smooth. Did not even really know I was on a Harley.

It was indeed my first ride on a harley. And you pegged it, Im a sport bike rider.

You just cant beat the handling of a sport bike. I feel comfortable on sport bikes. I guess its just something Im used to.

For handling, a sportbike for sure. My buddy only rides sportbikes and always compared it to my Harley. Not sure why he did that. Two bikes made for two different reasons. He liked the V Rod though. I now have a Honda cruiser, Honda Magna V45. I love the power of it and how smooth it pulls but on long road trips, out to Big Bend, I still wish I had my Harley. The weight felt better and the ride was smoother to me but I had a custom seat for it. Harleys are too damn $$$ though. They do however keep decent resale though. Oh, if anyone is ever out in W. Texas and has the chance to ride through Big Bend it is awesome! Kinda desert and then some great hill/ mountain roads.

I took a new job working at the same company that Chris does. Chris is one of the owners of this board. Ive been extremely busy and dont have time to do much else.

*sigh* my pursuit of getting another bike yet still continues... I get to ride here and there when someone lets me throw a leg over.

I saw an absolute gorgeous TLR 1000 this morning on my way to work. Dual D&D, it was right on man. The sound is awesome.

soo, the search continues.

I told him that I was exhibiting my mastery of physics; he didn't like that comment. It is a $300 ticket in Texas.

I havent been pulled over yet for wheelies. Dallas cops = real cool about it. Plano cops will pull you over, check your liscense registration etc..make sure the bike isnt stolen. Allen..made the mistake of stopping for them once in a car..not doing taht shit again.

stunter tickets

Haven't had the pleasure yet of getting pulled over for wheelies in Texas, but I can personally testify to the fact that in Wisconsin and Ohio, they'll give you a ticket for "Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehical". $300-$800 + 6pts. Very bad.

I got a ticket for doing a stoppie once, and he could have given me a reckless op, but gave me a 2pt, $125 ticket for Failure To Maintain Reasonable Control...go figure.

It's really all up to the cop. The ticket given (if any) is 100% his discretion.

Moral of the story is that the tickets you get for stunting are not fun or cheap, but it's something you've gotta accept if you're going to stunt on the streets.

What about gloves? They are more important than a jacket.

well I dont really care to much what the gloves look like as long as they are red and black and protect very well so its not really a choice.

If I find some red/black gloves that protect well, ill get them.

Well, you can order badass Dainese gloves (in red/black if you wish) for ~40bucks.

Anyone just watch the MotoGP Championship race?

THat was one intense last lap. Rossi barely won just by nudging the other guy off the track.
