Short January Road Trip

Ready to do some riding next month as I'll be back in town permanently. Anybody up for a small overnight trip? Thinking about taking a small ride out to Whitney (near Hillsboro) where my parents have a house on the water. We can stay overnight and do some BBQ'ing (I'll buy the food, you buy the drinks) and ride a different way home the following day.

All depends on weather conditions of course. Who's interested?

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Sounds like fun as long as its not straight line the whole way and we have some aggresive riders who like to hit the twisties at over twice the posted speed limit for that turn!

Sounds like you guys are interested then. Everything is of course dependent on the weather. We can find a more challenging route to the lake or do some exploring around there as well. I'll of course have the chase truck along for the ride that we can stow any gear on if you guys want to stay overnight and like I said I'll by some meat for some grilling I just ask you provide the drinks.

Post up a date you guys want to ride out on.

So how are you feeling now? How's the bike coming along? Hell you won't have to worry about me laughing, I would just be happy to still be able to ride. Post some pictures of the bike now if you can. Where did you pick up most of the parts?

Na, we can just put it in the back of the truck if there is a problem since there will be plenty of people to help with loading one up if someone breaks down. We will have to bring your PS2 and buy or rent the MotoGP game and bring your Gran Turismo

Sounds cool. I'll have to bring the GT since I don't have MotoGP game. Don't forget the tri-fold ramp. Much easier to load bikes that way.

That's cool about GT. Ya I won't forget about the ramp, it's sitting right next to the R6 anyway

Guess the question would be whether should bring GT1, 2, or 3? I'll check to see if I can find a reasonible priced version of MotoGP on Ebgames, etc.

Some pictures I took of the roads up near Lake Whitney. Most of the roads up there are boring until the turn (Turn 6) to Blum where it goes to a one lane road with changes in elevation and soft medium distance turns.

Well it's not that bad of a ride going down there. Usually takes me an hour and we can stop from time to time and take pictures and such.

Well you can meet up with us Sunday afternoon and we can do some riding, more details to follow. I'm sure JC can meet up with you in the afternoon and than meet up with us.
Yeah, I'll be in school also on Saturdays. I can meet you guys somewhere's along the road on ya'lls way back and roll with you, on Sun. afternoon.

Not sure yet, either the weekend of the 22'nd or the 29'th.

Everybody who wants to go post up either weekend that's good for you and if you guys want to stay overnight or just make it a day trip.

Trailer...

I've got to check my schedule (the wife) and see if we've got anything planned that weekend. If not, I'm down for a day trip. Not too sure about staying overnight, but anything's possible.

<----- Has a nice three rail trailer that could be toted along behind the chase vehicle, just in case.
