The Agusta Line up...Very nice bikes as well...

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Those bike look badass and the single sided swingarm is SEXY as hell! Of course for $20k+ I would rather build and pimp one of these

For ~20k investment, I could take my 04 R1 and modd it with the very best, full carbon body and tank, custom paint, suspension, and maybe even wheels/accessories. It'd be pretty bad ass, now where is that other 12G's at

Found my next bike today!

What more can ya say other than its black, pimp, holds resale value like no other, and A FREAKIN V TWIN! Went up to the honda dealer today to check out the bikes and what not, and there was an RC51. the 04 model. I have liked these bikes for awhile now, but after seeing the 05 model pics, i'm in love. It is me all the way. Gonna see when preorder starts to get mine on the projected delivery date of november.

So let me ask you something from someone that hasnt ever ridden a sportbike but has wanted to. Im not into hauling ass at 210 mph but more cruising. On that same note Im tired of cruisers and want a sportbike. Are the V twins friendly enough for a new rider?

so you're looking to go from getting drug on a 600, to getting drug on a 1000?

i'm confused, but it is a nice bike, although too expensive.

There are alot of good starter bikes that are v twin. the sv650 is an excellent bike. has some grunt at the bottom end and has enough top end to kill ya. Plus its a nekkid bike. so not much of the expensive plastic to break or rash up. But when ya do become experienced, you can then buy the fairing and have a sportbike look.

But it all comes down to this, you get what you give. Any bike is capable of being tame. Just have to know when to tell it what ya want.

Ok big guy, denton friday night. lets see who gets drug. LMAO! No, seriously now, I'm tired of going as fast as i can. I want a wheelie monster that sounds good. It will keep up with your R1 easily enough. Its not just the bike ya know, it is also the experience that the rider has. And also this bike will hold its resale value better than most bikes out there. I've seen plenty of these 2 -4 yrs old that still bring in 8 or 9k.

Adam has officially become the DavidZ28 of the Motorcycle Forum. All he does is compare himself to everybody else in the speed and power version of the "food chain" There is more to riding (to me) than having the fastest bike or being able to attain the highest top end.

I've posted before about my love of the RC51 other than the digital tach. If I was ever to move on to another bike other than an R6 it would probably be an RC51

jose, i think your comments are misguided.

i'm not comparing, I know i'm slow.

i was just inviting Tom to find out how slow since he said he was interested in a challenge of speed.

If i wanted to be the fastest, i would've bought a zx10.

Didn't see Tom making any comments about a speed contest until you made the comments about being drug.

Hell I'd pimp an RC51. There's to many R1's and ZX10's on the board as it is anyway

i was giving tom shit, because he never says how fast he is, he just says he can keep up with everything.

i'm pretty sure if tom drove next to an f16, he would say he kept up with it, regardless of the conditions.

v-twins have nasty torque out of the hole, but past 330ft they aint shit. but why am i talking? i dont even enjoy drag racing.

I wouldnt mind taking one of those around a road course. Probably akward around turns tho since you have to be more careful where you keep the revs. Lemme know if you ever get it, we'll have to go to TWS and compare

actually chris, the bonus to the twin bike should be the torque CURVE, as in a nice fat juicy midrange that just envelopes you in the power.

it's the inline bikes that you have to keep in their peaky little RPM range.

was that referring to the drag racing or the road course?

Drag racing by the 330 mark an R1 with gearing will be right in it's powerband and will start running away from a twin.

Road racing around the corners, i'd have to learn a whole new technique of riding because you wouldnt have to keep the bike way high in the RPMs entering the corner so you are still in the powerband when you exit. I wonder how they would compare

that was referring to the road course.

on a drag strip, the extra broad power band of a twin seems to be wasted, because you can't use it without riding a crazy ass wheelie from the get go.

yes, i raced a SV1000, and it was close out of the hole, and then it was less close the further it progressed.

The twisties are what this bike was made for. You should see the size of the necks on these bikes. They are 3 times the size of the zx 10 or r1. The bike in whole is just alot beefier. It is made to take some serious stresses. But basicly as many owners have told me, its a nice litre bike in a 600 wrapper. It is supposed to handle like a dream. I don't need speed, just a nice balanced, well handling bike.

Adam, I know your just messing with me. Its all in fun. But i just dont' need the speed side of it anymore. It doesn't look good on film, where as dragging a knee does. And this bike is fast enough to run 130 mph. plenty fast for anyone. plus ANYONE can nail the throttle, hang on and go straight. Not everyone can get rid of that last inch of chicken strip.

Edit: i'm slow. but i wasn't at the back of the pack either now was i? i can keep up.

My cousin knows Al Lamb at (I think) Dallas Honda. Don't know if he can get you any kind of deal but I'm sure you'll get better attention if my cousin introduces you to him. Might be worth it. I know if I ever get a Honda that's where I'm gonna go.

Personally I think you should get with the Nicky Hayden replica

Thats where i went today. Had a business lunch at the steak and ale there next door. I walked in and asked if i could put a preorder on it and they said not till november sometime. But he did say that they just became a power dealer and would have them in before most others. They get first dibs i guess. If ya think your cousin could help out, that would be great. I was hoping to possibly get it below msrp, maybe knock off 500 bucks for a helmet. lol Can't be sporting the green helmet.
