Whine with new CS sprocket?

is this normal? my bike now makes a little whine that i've never noticed, fresh after the install of the 16 tooth sprocket.

any ideas? it's not loud, but it wasn't there before.

could chain tension be too loose/tight? i did it just as i've done before, but any help would be great.

I tightened the chain on the R1 to tight and it whined also. I had it to tight. I loosened it a bit and the whine went away. That may/may not be the problem but it wouldnt hurt to try

yeah, i'm thinking it is either a little tight, or a little out of alignment.

I should be down for that. what about the hooters in Arlington off of Little road, since you're already located in arlington right? plus, you get 2 free beers (if you're not riding i guess) at that hooters since they can't keep their liquor license. Either mon or tues would be ok w/ me. maybe around 7 or so?

I'm there. Of course!

Mesquite is far for me. How about the one on I-30 and Collins in Arlington? It's between Ft. Worth and Dallas.

Just trying to make it more centrally located since we have people on both sides of town. The Hooters on collins and 30 would be good.

Starter Bike?

From what ive heard its not a good idea to get a nice bike as your first.
What was your first bike and how much did you pay for it?
TIA

I really like the gsxr 600s or maybe a F4i. Just trying to get a feel before i buy.

My 1st was a 94 CBR 600 paid 2k for it because of some minor rash on it.... Excellent bike for the money and a good choice to learn on... its looks alot better than something like a ninja 250 and has decent enough power with out being overkill so you can make a jump later to a bigger newer bike without killing yourself with all the new found power.... you can find f4i's around in good condition for around 4k- 4500 just shop around and talk people down a little....

I see them for the ZX6R and the ZX10R, so I would assume they also fit the ZX9R. Count me in, just shoot me a PM when you guys want to meet up. What is the final price?

my first was a 95 Katana 750 picked it up for $1000 and it needed carb work and a clutch.

And I recommend that you buy a heavier bike for your first to learn on, that way when you get on one of these lightweight rockets, it will be that much easier. my katana wet weighed almost 550 lbs. My ZX9R now only weighs like 421 and even that is heavy compared to the newer gsxr600's...
