My answer would be dependent on what you would use it for. For a street/strip bike I would say the Yamaha. For a bike to take to the drag strip I'd say a Gixxer 1K.

The Beauty (R1) Vs the Beast (10R) Vs the King (GSX-R1000) Vs Mr. Perfect (CBR1000RR).

I see...

You specified 1000cc this time !
Well since I cant vote for the busa, I would have to go with the kawi.
Its the fastest in a drag race and thats what I'm about.

Still love Yamahas.... Still probably think the gixxer is the best "do all" bike.

Not a Honda fan.

At the bike drags "Honda" is what we call a Suzuki or Kawi thats running like crap or broken.(which is not very often)

F-N HONDA!

They do rule at road racing though.......

I wont argue with the Gixxer. It will do everything and do it all well.

You know, these are all great bikes...

you should not go by what a mag says...I just read a mag that says the honda cbrr was the best of 04 and that the gsxr was the worst....It is all about Bias thoughts.....stock for stock you really can not measure a bike...it really is all about preference at this level....

dang I can not find the stupid magazine..but during my search I found this

http://www.2wf.com/articles/bike_tes...5A2472C10C.asp

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

I have a take on why the other was deleted but enough of that.

Street, everyone likes a well balanced cruiser on steroids so I say the CBR1000RR
Daily driver, everyone needs a daily driver so this is where the R1 comes in, good looks and a smooth engine.

Track days - I say the CBR1000RR as well.
Drag days - it's a toss up between the Gixxer and the Zx10, But I go with the ZX10 due to it's just pure power breeding.....It pulls like no other. I just need to learn how to ride it better. And it looks mean as hell lowered......

Not while it's lowered, lowesides to easy.....I have proof....lol. Being vertically challenged limits the functions of the bike.

I use it for about the only two things I can, riding and drag racing. Can't ride wheelies cause if it comes down to hard POP there goes another oil pan.

Its the best one put out yet. The first one kicked ass. the sec. one was ok but alot of repeat stuff. This new one could have been a bit longer and the format should be WMA. Realplayer just doesn't have the quality that most are acustom to. But great work none the less.

Newbies, please watch THIS before posting.

You know what, now that I think about it, I think I probably saw you and Rich one time off of Loop 12 exiting off to Irving Blvd.sometime this past Summer. I remember see a lowered R6 like your old one with a girl riding on the back. And I remember it because it was the limited R6 and I could tell (even at night from a distance) that it was lowered. Hopefully STROKD can post some pictures of it soon.

I have taken exit ramps to highways at speed well above the limit and she handles just fine. I did not go extreme. I will post some pics of my R1 soon for you JC. I have a little bling bling on it. Just need to change the pic size to be accepted here.

Just got DRUG!

i was racing at the local Internation Raceway tonight, when i got DRUG by an '02 GSXR 1000 with a slip on.
both times from approximately a 50mph roll as we crossed the starting line, the outcome was UGLY, i'm talking at least a bus.

just thought i would share my story.

they didn't have any clocks at this track.

well, it fucking blew, maybe from alot higher roll it would've been a different story, but fuck, waiting on this powerband gets OLD.

either that, or i have no idea how to ride this thing.

i don't give a shit about doing 175mph, if i could do 155 with alot more accelleratoin, i'm going to look into it.

they didn't have any clocks at this track.

well, it fucking blew, maybe from alot higher roll it would've been a different story, but fuck, waiting on this powerband gets OLD.

either that, or i have no idea how to ride this thing.

i don't give a shit about doing 175mph, if i could do 155 with alot more accelleratoin, i'm going to look into it.
Get the sprocket man! I am going to install mine soon.

Also.... did you downshift properly? If you were at 50, to reach the R1's top powerband (about 9,500 rpm+) you probably should have started in first gear. I whooped up on a customized Aprilia SL1000 Falco the other day and drug it bad. That bike is so freaking torquey that I thought it would be a lot closer. Just depends how you race.
