Seriously, what makes him 2 steps ahead of everyone else? It's understood he's got his shit together, but how is it that he pops up so rarely, but it's always with an astounding pass?

I mean, can you have the tune, the converter, the suspension...... ok that's a given.... but all the others are testing and tuning relentlessly, creeping up on fast... but the Wolfe car pulls right off the trailer and kicks everyone's ass.

I guess when you think about it, a Top Fuel crew can put together a blown hemi, throw a tune on it, set the clutch, and bust off a 4.15 @ 315 in the 1000'

And the Pro Stockers can put their combo together and run their usual number pretty easily. But they're doing it every damn weekend.

Anyway, props to him. I hope a video shows up somewhere...

That's bad ass and very impressive.

There is no way I would want to go that fast with little ass tires and at that weight.

He's been kicking radial ass for the last 3-4 years. I think the 1/4 pass and MIR visit was directly related to some smack talk from the Major/Hance groupies. It's funny that all the "South" racers are bragging about beating the Yankees. I guess Texas racers are finally being accepted by all the Georgia and Alabama people

Easy answer....he's so far ahead of EVERYONE on the planet when it comes to torque converters that it isn't funny. Horsepower isn't a problem for anyone. Someone above said "Soft launch" LMFAO If 1.15 60ft. is soft , I'd hate to see hard. Make it leave and then make it couple...That's the secret, he has somehow found a way to do both.
