Who was in the turbo mont/zephyr last night?

I went out and made a pass or two in order to test out my new power valve setup and saw a pretty sweet looking/sounding turbo Zephyr.

It wasn't setting the world on fire, but sure looked like a fun/comfortable street car.

It's what I'd call a medium blue color.

Who was it?

IDK the difference between the two - but it had some shiny new looking welds/ET streets on the back and stock wheels of some sort on the front.

No, it really doesn't have a cage - but Friday was more of a test of a major change in the carb before I take the car apart for the winter. A change, that if it worked, those sales that result from a successful test session would fund my winter upgrades. Worthy excuse, nope. Hypocritical of me, absolutely.

I'm well aware that anything can happen at any time on a dragstrip, and was prepared to accept the consequences at that time. Now, with that successful test session, - new suspension, cage, wheels, etc are on the horizon.

btw, I'm the one that usually gets made fun of for wearing a full fire suit in a "slow" car in the 100* heat.

I know, and I appreciate that.

I'm not totally foolish, a cage was in the plans the day I purchased this car back. It's much too fast to not have that stuff in it. It wasn't intended to be this fast when it was built, but now - with the new drivetrain, it will be a LOT faster and will have the proper safety equipment in it.

Now that my re-engineered power valve works properly, I can take the car apart and put the "good stuff" in it.

I won't lie, I really didn't want you to test it on Friday(because of you not having a cage,) but I know I don't have MUCH say, you're going to do what you want to do... BUT... I want ya to have a cage before you go out and run it again... I don't want to lose you or have you hurt.

On another note: I'm excited that everything is working!!!!!!!

Cages are waaaayyy overrated! They make it too hard to get in and out of the car.

Brooks, please get a cage in that car quick man, you are one of the last people that I want to come see in the hospital.
Been there far too often last year with my workout partner's heart attacks.

oh crap! I missed this until now. Yes that was me, it was the very first trip to the track and the car didn't impress me much but I've still got a lot to do thats why I didn't make my own post about it.

What were you running turbostang? I had a buddy filming my passes but of course he missed the best two! The only race I won was against an SN95 stang but have no idea what he ran.
