Clifton wrecked the pumpkinhead

I just wanted to let everyone know that cares to know - Clifton wrecked tonight at kennedale (I wasn't there). The wrecked car was as bad as ANY wreck I've ever seen. The car was demolished. From what I've seen there's not a single square inch of straight material on the car. I won't post pictures, I'll leave that up to him.

I'll let him explain, but the cliff's notes - got loose going through the lights, got on it's side, hit the wall and went end over end a couple times.

Clifton was taken to the hospital by Jason (88_hatch50). From what I was told he was complaining of internal pains and loss of sight in his left eye.

So, for Clifton, Get well soon man. If there's anything I can do - be sure to let me know. I'm sorry I couldn't be there to help.

Kudos to Mike kelley for scooping up the mangled car on one of his wreckers and hauling it back to Clifton's house. Also, Kudos to anyone else that was there to help Clilfton.

Keep Clifton in your thoughts and wish him a speedy recovery.

Does it sound like it just over powered the tires on the big end or maybe a "wednesday" track prep?

I was there and it looked really bad. Thank god he's alive because he was haulin the mail and it happened at the end of the track. Looked like it went right, then left into the other lane, then right again, and I swear I remember it rolling over the wall. The car was the most trashed I've ever seen. I can't believe he didn't get hurt worse. My prayers go out to you man! You are one lucky individual.

Hate too see this happen to such a nice guy and nice car. Testomint to the safety equipment and well built car for saving Cliftons life, in a wreck like that just being able to get out of the car is a blessing. Hopefully Clifton is ok and back at it in no time always a group I like to watch when going go see some of the heads up stuff.

The cage did its job very well. We are waiting on the cat scan now. He is feeling fine. As a matter of fact he is wanting one of us to give him a prostate exam in the waiting room.

He's going to be just fine!

This is Clifton's wife.....

So far, everything looks ok. We're at the hospital now waiting of xrays and CT scan results, but it appears nothing major is wrong. Thank you ALL for all your well wishes and prayers. They are much appreciated. I'm sure he will post up when he gets home...right now he's busy harassing the nurses and mooning his friends....obviously ok. Pumpkinhead, well...that's a different story.

This is Brandon's Dad and I saw it as it happened. He went threw at a 5.6 and then the car started to drift to the left from the right lane and he brought it back and I thought he had it and all of a sudden the rear end came around to the right and all hell broke loose and the car was in the air and rolling. It must have rolled at least three times before it hit the ground and then it rolled some more. I did not know that it was Clifton. Our prayers go out to him and his family. After it all stopped Shelly said look he is out of the car. I do not know how he got out of that quick with the shape the car was in. That was not something good to watch.

Holy shit, that thing tore up! Seems like the safety stuff all did it's job if he's not hurt too bad. I'd be curious to see some cage pictures and hear about what kind of restraints were being used in the car.
