I saw your car out there..... beautiful!

It seems everyone got quicker in eliminations. My dad is getting his roush down ( today was his 7, 8, and 9th pass ever in the car). He dialed in a 13.20. In eliminations he slammed the breaks to a 12.96 a 87mph.

On his 12.96 pass his 1/8th mile was .5 seconds faster than his 13.20 pass. I have a feeling it would have been an easy 12.5.

He 60 footed a 1.75 1/8th was a [email protected] 85 and then a 12.96 at 87. Today was his first day ever to be under a 2.0 60 foot. He didn't care at all that he broke out lol. It is a stock Roush 427R with drag radials.

I picked up a tenth in eliminations... I red lit and was taking my anger out on the shifter. That might have been the reason. lol

I didn't do as well as everyone else, not well at all actually. Traction was no where to be found today for me anyways 1.66 60' spinning bad. Got worse as the day went on and more of the street tire cars went down the track.
To top it off they couldn't re-fill my bottle because their pump was in a box on the floor covered in about 5 years worth of dust and the guy in the fuel shed didn't know anything about bottle filling anyways. Wasn't impressed with the Motorplex at all today.

Did cut a perfect light 1st round of eliminations so that made the day not a complete bust.

Wow may be you need to take a look at you set-up. I had a 1.24 60 foot times. and 60 foots were consistent all day. I did see some bald spots on the start line but they were taking care of them with rosin and vht.

I don't think it's anything to do with the suspension, I've never had any problems hooking at Northstar unless the track was hot & greasy. They must have sprayed it down for you faster guys but I never saw them do much of anything for the slower ones of us.

Track prep was great.

My only complaint is the tech in. Why did it take 2 hrs? They were not even checking anything on the cars. Learn how they do it at other tracks for these events and tech the guys as they come into the staging lane when their class is called. This way you do not get every single car wanting to tech at once.

Had a good time, but snapped my Ripper shifter in two pieces???? The good news is B & M said they will ship me a new one under warranty. It happened on the first qualifying run so no times for me. My son had a great day and got runner up in Super Muscle with a double breakout loss.

Congrats for your son. I didn't realize you had a stick shift in that car. I swear I thought I saw you lined up for elimations or atleast 2nd round time trials.

You .000 light was against my brother in the first round...NICE! I had the black 94 Cobra and we ran my first pass. Traction sucked for me to. Those idoits could not run the light or tech. about every third car they had put up a wrong dial....and once they even put a "x" for a number up on the board....took a while before they realized they had put up his car number and club designation "x".

i got some race fuel and they guy did not have a gas can...they just picked the drum of fuel up and took it out ot my car and pumped it into the tank. Paid for 2 gallons and must have got at least 3 as they were "eye balling it" .

I bet that felt pretty weird not having the shifter haha. Btw there is some talk of getting a manual shifted transmission racing assoc. going. I will ket you know if I hear anything else about it.

Glad to see B&M is taking care of that. That's the way customer service should be.

Shelly did about the same. She ran a 11.913 at 107 standing one the brakes. Not good enough though with a 12.00 dial. I did not know that car would run that fast in the 1/4. now I know.

As for the what happened in the pits. Mark and Randy Cryer's Father had a stroke and passed away. As one of his boys said he was doing what he loved. RIP

Thanks, I really liked your car it was very clean and quick. Well at least I know I wasn't the only one with issues hooking. I knew with a very low bottle that a good light would be the only way I'd stand a chance, but it sputterd out about 330'.

Thats basically what I'm saying, it wasn't just the track prep or lack thereof. It was the experience as a whole it was very disorganized almost made me think I was at Kennedale.
