Congrats not bad for only having three passes on the radial before this race. He does look pretty wet.

On those tires, just about every pass is lucky - for everyone. I knew we were on to something, and all it took was that "one more pass" to make it work. Once we get "total" control of the boost in the middle of the track - it will be MUCH faster. That converter seems to be working pretty good too.

I think the converter may need to be tightened up a hair... Only seeing 600 rpm drop from low to high. I'm not sure what the deal is with the controller. I'm almost positive it has to do with the launch rpm.

The launch RPM shouldn't dictate what the boost controller does though, the controller does PERFECT at launch no matter what the engine speed. The RPM's go up and it starts having problems. (the reason we get NO control on the last 2 seconds of the run - it's spending it's time over/undershooting..and about 2 seconds in, it catches up and moves on - THAT is where your MPH is going)

The MPH is low because of the ported heads. Go back to stock heads and it will pick up 5 more mph guaranteed!

Outlaw means you can have any size power adder, engine combo, etc. Other 275 classes limit you to engine sizes, power adder limits, and even body panels. It just depends what sanctioning body you are running.

Example: TTT5 limits the turbo to a 76mm and the Outlaw Class doesn't limit.

In other words by pure definition "outlaw" means no rules (or very very few)

Turbo cars are probably different, but my nitrous BBC likes about a 600 to 700 RPM drop at the shift point. Anything over 700 at the shift point, it pulls the motor out of the power band and slows down.

It was said and I still bow my head in disbelief that things like unported heads will be just as fast on turbo motors as said by some people on here and other message boards.

Quit limiting yourself with a reverse grind cam for one.

Did Dan at DLS grind that cam for you? If so that guy knows his shit. Bigger is not always better as you know. My dads cam is right at .600 lift as well and was ground by Dan.
