2011 gt

Went to north star in Sanger on Friday with my new 2011 GT. It suffered from severe traction problems and wheel hop with the stock pirelli's. The best I could get it to run was a 8.96 e.t. @ 85.15mph. This was due to the nasty 2.3905 60-foot time. It just wouldn't get off the line. Forget about any kind of launch. I'm gonna try it again soon with som drag radials and control arms.

Anybody know where to get some good control arms for a 2011? I read they used metco uppers and lowers on that 10 second 5.0 but i dont know anything about metco. I also saw steeda had some lowers and claim that they "eliminate wheel hop" but they don't make uppers yet. Anybody heard if the steeda's are any good? Let me know what y'all think.

You need to slip that clutch to do anything with regular tires.

When you was out there did you happen to see a red Pontiac Fiero running? Friend went out to run for the first time and said he got a best of an [email protected] 83 MPH...Just wanting opinions on how the car looked launching and sound going down the track....

Hey doug...Yeah, that's the replacement. And no they didn't find it. It's ok though, I guess everything works itself out in the end.

No worries. Look at your trap speed. Put some sticky tires on it and run when it's not a million degrees outside and you'll see a night and day difference.
