If you don't understand the principles of engine displacement, then I'm frankly a little shocked.

What has more potential on paper N/A at 11:1 CR. A 302 cid motor or a 376 cid motor. Ever heard of no replacement for displacement? I guess not.

You LSx guys crack me up. De-stroke your LSx to 300 inches and then get back to me.

They hype you goofs can't understand. Is Ford has a 302" making comparable power to a 376" LS3

You know damn well that's impressive, but you LSx nut huggers won't admit to yourselves. Well, actions speaker louder than words.

'11 GT Auto running 11.9 N/A with stock long block. '11 GT Manual running 10.9 N/A with stock long block. With 74 cubic inches less displacement.

Game over.

You mean an LS1-stock stock LS1 F-body. Meaning, cam, converter, and 75 shot.

After 17 years of being second-class citizens, the Ford guys are allowed to be a little excited. Just remember this is about three months after the first 32v 5.0 was made available. I don't give a shit if it has 300ci, 400ci, 100ci, whatever - going 11s in a nearly stock car is kickass. And we'll never find out how fast the 2010 Camaro would be with its near-stock drivetrain, all the really fast ones are secretly getting forged 440+ ci Vette engines dropped in them...

I think it's impressive. Who cares what size the motor is. With the exception of the taillight area - I think the cars look good too! Especially with slicks and skinnies.

The 4.10 gears seem like overkill, but with the stock converter? Wow..

Has anyone on this site bought one yet? Seen one at the track? Or is this 'Evolution' place the only shop in the country doing anything with them? That track looks a little like Hallsville if you know what I mean..

I searched and haven't found a local car running - what's the deal? I'm tempted!

I like the the new GT's. They are just an impressive as the LS1 is in my book. The only difference is the LS1's were doing it more than 10 years ago. Fbodys have been dominating Mustangs since 1993. Its nice to see them competitive again.

From what I remeber with just intake tune and exhaust yall were running 12s still. It took yall a built motor to get in the 10s Na and a auto swap.

Strictly performance lethal and some others have been running them and they all are getting good #s. They already got one of them in the 9s with the stock motor.

They still have 1/2 a second to go before they're running what my non-gutted, stock(bolt-on) N/A 346 ran 10 years ago.

But - if the stick car is in the 10's - the auto, with the right converter should be too - easily, IMO. THAT's what I would like to see. A big converter in one of those A6's.

My car went 11.80 on the stock longblock. We went to a whole other level of competition when we went with the auto and the built motor. We didn't build a car to run 9's, we went to go 8's and to be honest with you, we had an 8 second car. We never even got to spray the second stage, now the new goal is 9's on motor. We'll do it to.

You fail

I didn't know you went 9.8 on nitrous?!? Nice!

The new Mustangs are strong, but nothing new performance-wise. Yeah yeah, it's a smaller motor - and like I said who cares. Glad Ford got with it though - better 13-14 years late than never!

A bone-stock 2010 Camaro, even with a 6 speed, isn't as fast as you might think. It's heavy as fuck! The new Mustangs are the shit. A friend has a new one, with 500 miles the thing made 391RWHP, after a tune to bring the rev-limiter to 7400 RPMs(stock is 7k), it made a little over 410. Those motors love rpms! One of the things that suck about the Camaro is the gear spacing in the manual tranny. The Mustang is awesome, with 5th being 1:1 and 6th being overdrive. Chevy has taken note and will soon have a "track pack" option with different gearing in the tranny and 3.73 gears, just like the Mustang. You heard it here first!

Again - very impressive, but what about track times?

I might have to go test drive one!

the bar for 1998 and 2011 are completely different. hell a 9 sec street car in 98 was very rare, and to have one with a pretty much a factory motor was unheard of.

It's set-up for track days. It's lowered with coilovers, big brakes/wheels/sway bars/springs/etc. I think he took it to the track and went 12.80's, but dragracing isn't the goal with that car!

You have no clue, my stock longblock is sitting in the back of my shop now.

Do you wanna race me?
