American Autosports Productions Announces "Battle of the Brands" Series for 2009

American Autosports Productions, Inc., the Producers of Fun Ford Weekend, proudly presents the Battle Of The Brands 2009! Battle Of The Brands is brought to you by Bill Alexander and the same familiar staff of the Fun Ford Weekend series.
Battle Of The Brands 2009 will be a national touring series, visiting major venues you've grown accustom to and some new ones too! Battle Of The Brands will be featuring the all new Outlaw 10.5 and True 10.5 classes, along with the same familiar Bracket and Index classes brought to you by FFW. Battle Of The Brands competition is for all Ford, GM and Mopar, no import type vehicles allowed.

Each Battle Of The Brands event will feature power packed drag racing, massive Manufacturer's Midway, Swap Meet, Car Corral and an All Brand Car Show Spectacular!

American Autosports Productions, Inc. will also be introducing a new website; www.BattleOfTheBrandsRace.com which will work in conjunction with our current website. All contact information will remain the same. American Autosports Productions, Inc. is looking forward to these exciting changes and will continue to produce a national event series that is first class and one to set standards by in the industry. Outlaw 10.5 (Weight Tables)

Minimum Weight Combination Engine Type

2800 pounds Supercharged Small Block
or Single Turbo

2600 pounds Nitrous Small Block

2900 pounds Twin Turbo Small Block

2400 pounds Naturally Aspirated Big Block

2900 pounds Nitrous Big Block

3000 pounds Supercharged Big Block
or Single Turbo

3100 pounds Twin Turbo (true 88mm) Big Block


Deduct 50 pounds for nitrous combinations with single carburetor and cast intake manifold.



True 10.5 (Weight Tables)

Minimum Weight Combination Engine Type

2350 pounds Naturally Aspirated Small Block

2800 pounds Nitrous Small Block

3175 pounds Supercharged Small Block

3050 pounds Turbocharged - 91MM Small Block

3150 pounds Turbocharged - 94MM Small Block

2700 pounds Naturally Aspirated Big Block

3100 pounds Nitrous Big Block (525ci max)


Engine combinations using superchargers smaller than the approved
Procharger F-3 may deduct up to 200 pounds, or up to 100 pounds for
Procharger F-3 with the approved Procharger reducer.

Aftermarket 4-links must add 50 pounds.

Nitrous Small Block combinations with a single carburetor or throttle body and a cast intake manifold may deduct 50 pounds.

28x10.5 Slicks may deduct 75 pounds.

Damn we could weigh 2750 LBS, could take 450 LBS out of the car. Wonder what she'd run at that weight?

and you can run a bigger tire, 29x10.5

LOL! That's all you got? Strap yourself in YOUR car that YOUR money paid for and have it act MUCH different than any other pass you've made in it and see what you do.... you're not stupid!

FWIW I stayed in the gas the second hit.....
