im at my parents house and trying to get onto my laptop from the modem. they dont remeber were the password for the modem is, where could i go on the computer to find this so i can link my computer to there interent thanks....
if it is the modem/router provided by the ISP, then the ssid (network name) and password will be on a label on the backside of the unit. if they have changed it from the default values, then you will have to hard reset the modem/router.
its called a clear access and has a model number on the back of it and a mac number and a sn number and i tried putting those numbers in and it wouldnt connect
There should be a button that you will need a pin to push it. Normal procedure is to push and hold it for several seconds for a hard reset. I'm sure it is noted in the manualprovided above.
When you do reset it, remember to go back and setup some security for them.
In general, you're not telling us shit to go off of and anything anyone is throwing out is going to be either...
1. Bullshit
2. Educated bullshit to get you to learn and read on it yourself.
3. Lucky guess
Try posting more DETAILs or calling the ISP's tech support line. Typically it is free and they are experienced in helping users setup their equipment. It's probably easy as hell, just need to do it once or twice.
