Halliburton to get contracts and Military to use bases?

Haha, its like the administration is throwing it in the liberal, Russian, French face. But if you think about it....It is either Shlumberger, "french company" or Halliburton "american company" lets see...... Who do we chose to get the countries oil production "and therefore jobs" going....Hmmm. And the evil Zionist master is ordering GWB to make bases in the middle east....Hmmm....he must be wanting to take over the country forever even though two other very powerful countries that we surved an ass whoopin to took the same "Zionist military bases".....can we guess class? One starts with a G and the other starts with a J. Once again, I am proud to be an American, and I am proud to protect and defend dumbasses like 01 cobra. I just cannot wait to hear his reply.

Gee thump, already with the name calling? Are you already out of gas on this subject? You defending me? Not a chance.

BTW, I forgot, what exactly was the immediate threat from Iraq? WMD? Hope they find some.

I'll let you bone up on the whole private, no-bid contract mess that is occuring at the moment (forgetting all forgein countries at the moment, just American companies being locked out of the bidding) before I stomp your points once again.

But, I'll tell you right now, if you can't stop the juvenile antics of name calling, we can end it right there. I don't argue with the intellectually challenged.

Do you mean 01WhiteCobra?

Hate to tell you, but he isn't un- or anti-american. He is realistic and seems to see the complete picture better than...
well, better than you.

He doesn't seem to be a Bush-basher or Clinton-supporter, but a reasonably educated and articulate person who sees all sides and makes educated guesses about the outcomes of these world events. You haven't shown him to be wrong yet.

And dude.. you were so OWNED!

Don't quit! You and a few others are the only ones worth arguing with.

Well, I'm a Texan, so I KNOW there are a LOT of companies that can/would do the job just as good as Halliburton...

But I ALSO worked on government contracts and bidding procedures for a couple of years... If we had to put the Iraqi work out to bid, it'd take years to get it all done and work started.... literally!

What is being done is not unprecedented and there ARE provisions in the USC to cover it... We're talking an emergency here... Those guys need the oil to get money to get ... well everything. Single source contracting happens all the time...

Personally, I don't think that even IF the President were ethically challenged enough to contemplate a good-ole boy contract on this one.... which he is not... He is certainly not stupid enough to think he could get away with it... You can bet they staffed this move through about a 1000 lawyers to makes sure it was "Kosher"...

All I care about is that the money stays in our pockets and not the Frogs, and the other petulant European children.
