Sure....he'd be better off under Saddam, which is what you're arguing.
He coulda been sodomized, sisters and mother raped, gassed, imprisoned, had chemical agents tested on him....

or he could have suffered a tragic accident, then lived free.

You argue he is better off being potentially sodomized, sisters and mothers raped, gassed, imprisoned, had chemical agents tested on him, etc.

I will argue that he is better off armless, and free...and I will be correct.

He would have been jailed for not joining the Ba'ath youth group.

Yes, I guess he is much better off without arms, without parents or aunts and uncles or the baby brother/sister his mother was carrying (who were all killed)

Sorry, even you can't spin that with your "patriotic" poppycock.

I'm sure you would be right there beside Ali's bed telling him not to worry the orphanage he will be in will be just fine. "It will all be great for you Ali!" Hookem tells him, "Here is a sucker! Oops, you don't have any arms! Sorry about that!"

Its obvious that people will rejoice at the fall of an asshole who controlled their lives, make sure you don't get too caught up in your own propaganda to see the other side of what this war has brought.

While you are watching those glorious pictures on FoxNews of all those Iraqis giving their "Thumbs Up!" sign to the US troops, try to figure out the other common meaning of "Thumbs Up!" in the Muslim world. While, at this moment, I'm sure the thumbs up carries the western meaning, I'm sure it will slowly change to the Muslim meaning.

"We didn't want war."

War is ugly business thats all there is to it. Sorry about the little
boy but we have are own sad young kids in pitures look at what
they did to our POWS. The differnce is we hurt that kid with a
bomb or missle by chance. They tortured our kids and killed
them one on one. Need proof where are the rest of 507th
maintence groop that was with that girl (Jessica I think) they
saved and look at the shape she was in. Broken legs broken
arms broken hands broken feet and oh yea broken spine.

Who's worse?

Who's worse?
Who is worse? Why is this a discussion of who is worse?

What I was showing was the other side of the war, because I got tired of reading all the "happy happy joy joy" from Hook Em. That is all. Statues falling, kids kissing troops. What's wrong with pictures of the others?

I see though, I'm sure Ali will fully understand the difference between "Oops! We are sorry" and meant abuse.

I have nothing against the US Military. They did their job and they did it well (and I never had a question of that they would).

Just remember, during of the celebration of the US getting rid of this ruthless dictator, that he was created from a street thug to dictator by the US. We are just cleaning up our 40 years of supporting him which started with the CIA using Saddam in 1959 in an attempted assassination of the then Iraqi Prime Minister General Abd al-Karim.

That was my take of it but I tend to over simplify.

What we did in 1959 is worlds away from what we are doing
today. I don't think no one wants to know what are government
has done and will do to keep us free and strong.

I am not putting you down for your views that what free
speech is all about. Right?

01cobra, I am sure we can find worse pics of civilians than that one boy. Thats part of war, and that is really part of war when you put them in harms way intentionally. I know that the soldier that blew that boys arms off is truely sad. We are a compasionate people, but we have a job to do. Like you said, I say kill em all that stand in the way, and sort them out later. What I would like to see is a pic of that pregnant Iraqi woman that took part in that car bombing. That would truely be gross, wonder how old the fetus was. Wonder if it was 8 months old. Now that is tragic.

At first it was pic of an Iraqi child kissing the side of an American soldier's face.

Hookem just linked to it, so I guess the website he linked to swapped out the picture on him.

Absolutely. I'll sometimes pick up an opposing view just to make the discussion fair and thought provoking.

98Cobra, I've said it before, I hope you are right that we do things differently now then then.

I've had a few pics sent to me whereas the top of a 3yr old's head was taken off, rather cleanly, by some type of weapon or shrapnel. I mean "cleanly" in that there is absolutely no blood on this kids face, just a big gaping hole on top of his head.

Yea, the pic of the pregnant women's fetus exploded all over the place would be gruesome (I'm sure it will show up on Consumption Junction at some point). But, the difference of course, is she chose that end. Ali was sleeping in his bed.

I posted the pic counter the drunken celebration of hookem of the other day.

Here is another interesting pic, showing the Saddam Statue being toppled. The square is as full as it appeared on FoxNews, huh? It almost looks too surgical to be a impromptu gathering.

i like having the opposing voice 01whitecobra, but good lord man, you are leading me to believe you dont realize war IS humanity, conflict has happened throughout history, and suffering and bloodshead isnt just solely human cruelty or pride leading us, but the whole animal kingdom suffers it, from different ant piles, to grizzlies slautering anothers cubs. Conflict is *unavoidable* in life.

Oh, of course, that makes it all the better.

Make some good arguments for the war, 32VFromHell. The rhetoric you are typing doesn't make for interesting discussion topics.
