No one posted this yet?!?!?!

We just rescued PFC Jessica Lynch, from the 507th Army that was ambushed when they got lost. I am so thankful for our fearless soldiers who were willing to risk their lives to bring "everyone" home. On a sad note, however; they also recovered the bodies of 11 thought to be US Soldiers. 2 were in a hospital morgue and 9 in a mass 'grave'. At least they will be coming home...that is the good news. Anyway, Lynch had been shot up, but she looked to be in fairly good shape in the pictures from her rescue, which showed her tightly clutching the American Flag. Woo-Hoo and OOOO-RAH to the Special Forces today for retrieving their fallen comrades.

The only thing I am confused about, is that there were only 8 MIA'a from the 507th. Who then are the other 4 KIA's? The numbers dont add up??? Since Lynch was rescued that brings the MIA's down to 7, but there were 11 bodies. I'm hope I am not coming across as morbid, just trying to figure it out.

MSN report said 16 MIA, and 7 that were shown on Iraqi tv, any of which may be the remains recovered. Sucks not more of our fallen soldiers were rescued alive, yet! Oh yea special forces kick ass!

hmmmm??

15th MEU reported 10 bodies recovered, 2 US and 8 Iraqi. Confusing?!?!

From Yahoo News: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...=564&ncid=1473

Capt. Jay La Rossa, spokesman for the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, told a Reuters reporter near Nassiriya that Lynch had two broken legs and one broken arm, but was stable and in good condition.

La Rossa said special forces involved in the rescue also found the bodies of two U.S. soldiers and eight Iraqis. He said the identities of the Americans were not known but they were thought to be among those ambushed with Lynch's group.

Brooks, however, said U.S. forces found the remains of 11 people, two in the morgue and the others in a grave outside the hospital. He said a forensic investigation was under way to determine their identities.
