So who's Uncle Sam then? Don't those two puppets determine what Uncle Sam is capable of?

How do you figure offshore? I would squarely lay it at the houses on Wall Street. Mainly Goldman Sachs but others as well.

But I totally agree with that picture..

There are plenty here at home like GS that have power, but there are others that aren't even in the US that make things happen as well. As we've come to find out over the past few months BP has a lot of control over what happens here.

I started off a journalism major, changed majors once I realized journalism was going away (still in the school of journalism though) but had a professor that was really well connected politically. After going away from journalism I still took the classes he taught that I could and got involved in events he had going despite having different views politically (he was Ted Kennedy's former chief of staff) Through him I met senators, congressman, gubernatorial, and presidential candidates as well as people in all levels of journalism.

News outlets have been consolidated and controlled more and more over the last 30 years. At the top companies like GE and guys like Rupert Murdock set agendas now and lots of things are off limits, "career killers" journalists call them. It's pretty sad. Big business and big money control/guide/censor major media outlets.

Ya know, I still don't trust 90% of any of the "sources" out there. The ones you link or mainstream. However, I'm paying more attention to everything and frankly it sucks.

Be nice if there were simple people who just said what was going on, all sides of the stories and did not nicely just leave important tid-bits out of stories. Every source posted or otherwise has their own slant. It's just who do you WANT to agree with more most of the time.

Yeah, I'm sure there was always slant. However, the older articles I've read and such seemed to spill the beans even if the person reporting did not like it.
