I wish black people would choose better Leaders for themselves. They have more than a couple people to admire.

Let's start with the obvious.
MLK
Rosa Parks
Harriet Tubman

and the not so obvious
George Washington Carver
Abraham Lincoln - Yea, I know, I know, He's White. But he DID win a Civil war that ended with Black peoples freedom., afterall.

But he ain't no OJ, though.. Ya no wa-im saying!!

Frederick Douglas

Hell, the RACIST Glenn Beck even made an entire show dedicated to it.

Funny how Sharpton and Jackson, Black Panthers, Liberals, and Dems all perpetuate the poor me mentality.
Funny how black people are never taught by their own "Leaders" about their true and full heritage, as well as the accomplishments of their forefathers that they can hang their hat on with Pride.

Ya know, It almost seems like black people are continually given a hand-out for being "less advantaged" instead of the hand-up and the proper education as to where they come from and the pride and can-do attitude they should be instilled with because their forefathers accomplished so much against REAL adversity.

But noooooo!!! They're VICTIMS, and should be coddled with welfare checks and subsidized housing because they can't make it on their own in this world without the Gubment "Leveling the playing field"

I wonder how "level" they feel with all dem moneyz that the Gubment showers them with (Sarcasm btw, jackasses.)

Let's get a recap"prosperity" that the Black race has the Gubment to thank for.

Extra funding for Inner city schools - ya know, for the ones with continually high black drop out rates and shitty teachers no matter how much money is thrown at em?-- Schools Managed and funded by Gubment in the first place.

SIDEBAR:
Did you know The Dallas ISD budget last year was 1.46 BILLION?

THAT"S BILLION WITH A B!
THAT IS 1.46 THOUSAND, MILLION DOLLARS!!

Since the human mind has trouble with the concept of a # followed by NINE zeros:

Let's say I were to win Mcdonalds' Monopoly Million Dollar thing. Assuming Govt takes 0% out for taxes, which we know is bullshit, I would have to win that Monopoly drawing

ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND SIXTY TIMES!!!

to fund the Dallas ISD's shitty fucking job FOR ONE LOUSY GOD DAMNED YEAR!!

Moving along.....

Subsidized housing for low income - ya know, the one with stipulations about a MAX that you can make or have in savings ($2500.00) in order to stay their for $30 per month +/- -- Gubment funded and managed

Welfare - ya know, the one with stipulations about a MAX that you can make or have in savings ($2500.00) in order to still recieve yo check. -- MAnaged and funded by the Gubment

Affirmative action - Ya know, preferential hiring due to actual LAWS in place DICTATING that a PRIVATE company HAS to hire a certain percentage of black people. -- Courtesy of Gubment

Govt contracts given to Minority owned businesses - Cause it's up to the Gubment to make sure that Black Companies get work, because we all know black owned Companies can't survive ANY other way, right?

I can keep going, but the post is getting long.

I will leave it with quote from Benjamin Franklin:

[quote=IOn the Price of Corn and Management of the Poor (29 November 1766)[/quote] I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it.

Who knows, maybe Obama will have a positive and lasting impact on our country if it only means that some black people realize the government is not here to help.

America

If you like the IRS, DMV and the Post Office, you will love Obamacare!

“An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.”
Robert A. Heinlein

I have to agree with a quote from former Treasury Secretary William E. Simon: "Bad politicians are sent to Washington by good people who don't vote."

Yep. Still dead.
Which I mentioned in the post.

Hang on a sec..

Yep. Still shows where I mentioned it.

Here's a list of the living, off the top of my head.

Chris Gardner- The dude the Pursuit Of Happyness was made after.
Michael Jordan
Will Smith
Denzel Washington
Allen West
Lieutenant Colonel Allen west - a retired Army soldier who's running for the 22nd Congressional District.
Nelson Mandela -- Still alive, right? Don't care to check.
Colin Powell
Condoleeza Rice
Morgan Freeman
Some of the Tuskeegee Airmen - The ones that are still alive.
Patricia Bath - invented the Cataract Laser Probe. Spawning in part what is now the Lasik Industry
Mae Jemison - (USA, born 1956) Mae Jemison is a retired medical doctor and American astronaut. In 1992, she became the first black woman in space.

Couple more dead:
Cook Third Class Doris Miller, USN - First Black Navy Cross recipent.
Tuskeegee Airmen -- the dead ones, since you feel Heroes lose significance as a role model once they die.
Benjamin Banneker - Mathmetician and Astronomer
Hannibal of Barka - Despite his Kill Rome campaigns, he was an incredible Statesman, rebuilding his Country TWICE to a World power after the Romans destroyed it.
Marie Daly - (USA, 1921–2003) In 1947, Marie Daly became the first African American woman to earn a Ph.D. in chemistry.
Mae Jemison - (USA, born 1956) Mae Jemison is a retired medical doctor and American astronaut. In 1992, she became the first black woman in space.
Garrett Morgan (1877-1963) Garrett Morgan is credited with inventions of several kinds. The traffic signal used in most of the countries is the most popular invention of Garrett Morgan. HE'S THE PERSON TO BLAME FOR ALL THE RED LIGHTS THAT WE RUN, AS HE INVENTED THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE!!

You need to relax. First of all, I rarely read posts from you because almost every one I've seen recently is about as long as an Upton Sinclair novel and probably about as boring.

Secondly, now that I fully read that post, you did not mention anywhere that they are dead. Anyway, thanks for getting your panties in a twist on account of my attempt at half-assed humor.

You are correct. It looks like my mention of them being dead before referring to the Black Founding Fathers was deleted by accident before I submitted.
Apologies for jumping on your ass unwarranted and without checking facts.
I don't appreciate it when some on here do it, and am embarrassed that I have done it.

It's okay that you don't read my posts. I don't express my opinion to gain your approval or change your mind... only to be helpful and to vent frustration at what our Country has become.
I have gotten praise from many on here for bringing important topics to their attention, as well as for the imformation and opinions expressed in my "Upton Sinclair Novels", so I guess I am not boring the ENTIRE time.

And besides. the beauty of our 1st Amendment is that you have just as much Right not to read it as I have to write it.

I have thought this as well. How great would it be that for all his ill will, he only served to have the opposite effect that he intended. Its starting to look that way..
