american tourist in yemen

is it just me or are these people too fucking stupid to be breathing air. wtf is wrong with morons like this and the dumbass hikers in iran. my vote is to say fuck'em and spend no time or effort to retrieve them. they chose to go there and assumed the risk on their own.

I don't know the stories you're talking about. I don't necessarily disagree but I've noticed 2 things...

They are either young and stupid. Americans tend to feel entitled to stuff and don't understand that once you leave our borders, (in general) you're on your own for whatever the local laws are at the place.

They are old and stupid. These people, I tend to feel more like saying "f 'em." They should know better.

Still all-in-all I don't 100% disagree in any way. It is not that hard to know a little about where you are going. Chances are if a country hates us, they are not going to enjoy you in their country.

I can't remember the country, but a buddy of mine - his mom got detained for bible thumping where Christian beliefs were illegal. Their mission knew it going in and still did it....

what the fuck are they doing there in the first place. oh yeah lets go feed some Muslims . lets see, hiking in fucking iraq where they blow up their own people. nope, that gene pool needs to end. americans in yemen , that's too damn stupid for words. if some bible thumping fool wants to go where they are hated then they are on their own. as far as i'm concerned you leave the usa your on your own. don't use my tax dollars to buy'em back and i sure as hell don't want a serviceman's life risked over the dumb fucks.

Or did Iran run across the border and snatch them? Since the only version of this incident is what Iran is putting out, I don't believe a word of it.

But I agree that simple logic and common sense could prevent a lot of these things. If its a global hot-spot, a student protest that's likely to turn violent, an uprising in the 'hood that might turn into a riot, a KKK rally... just DON'T GO!

Our government needs our help, they have an addiction. Our government is addicted to our money. Since they always have our best interest at heart it's time we return the favor. We need to have an intervention, for the governments own good of course. It's just irresponsible for us to let people with a known money addiction continue to handle our money. Lets have an intervention now so we can help these sick individuals.
