Arizona retialiates against LA LMAO.......

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/wash...s-angeles.html

Shorthand: Arizona has thrown up a put up or shut up challenge to LA over power sold to LA from arizona, and a threat to cut it off, over LAs stupid boycott decision

In the event that actually happened, komrade Obama would probably dispatch federal troops to nationalize Arizona's power generation facilities.

I think nationalizing all energy companies would be his likely strategy.

That would be a good enough reason end his political career, physically.

Oh that would be fucking hilarious.

Our government needs our help, they have an addiction. Our government is addicted to our money. Since they always have our best interest at heart it's time we return the favor. We need to have an intervention, for the governments own good of course. It's just irresponsible for us to let people with a known money addiction continue to handle our money. Lets have an intervention now so we can help these sick individuals.

Those fucking pricks in LA have already said something along the lines of they will will not boycott businesses that will interrupt day to day living in LA.

So, those fucks try to be a badass and show Arizona who is boss. Arizona calls their bluff and threatens to shut down their power.. So now LA will still boycott Arizona, but not businesses that benefit the city.

While I feel its a victory...A true victory is to shut off their power until the council gets their heads out of their asses and stops the boycott and apologizes to the whole US for being a douche.

I do not know if this is a good idea for AZ, they have a massive demand for a product (energy) and you have the supply. if they dont get their supply from you, they will go someplace else. and then you are stuck with a bunch of supply and no one to sell it to, so you loose more money.

lets not mix business with politics, thats a bad mix

Considering the power shortages that Commifornia has every summer, I don't think they are in a position to get it anywhere else. They already have a demand that is higher than all the surrounding providers can supply.

who else is going to buy arizona energy? New Mexico? Utah? no one else in the south west really has the power shortage like california, and is willing to over pay for it.

Drop the rates in AZ, offer free utilities to everyone that moves in from CA, that is legal.

California will see rates skyrocket because other states will realize that there is high demand and they can set the price for the supply. $2500/month electric bill for a 1750sq ft house in LA, or move to Phoenix, enjoy no utilities and no illegals.

Why do you think anyone will have to "over pay" for it?

Also, electrical power isn't something that is 'stored', all the power producers in AZ have to do is stop making it. It isn't like they will have a perishable stockpile of it if they choose not to sell it to Kommifornia.

Who's "overpaying"? Do you have a clue, or just sling shit out there for argument fodder? How about Nevada, Idaho, Washington, etc. It's a competitive business, so why sell to someone that is taking money away from the other end? It's very easy to direct energy to another state.

It doesnt matter to Arizona...California is trying to mess with their economy.

You need to think about the current power situation. As stated above, California cannot produce enough electricity to supply its own power grid. Take away 25% and what are they gonna do? Blackouts? They have huge problems already with buying 25% of their power from out of state. THey cannot survive if they were to be cut off.
