If this guy gets re-elected, we will know that the voting system in this country is corrupt.

I do not think it matters if the county approves of obama, all that matters is that he is liked better then the other guy.

It's all electronically controlled these days. What with the hackings, viruses, and unbelievable volumes of money available to be spent on access to the vote tabulation machines, I find it damned near impossible to believe that the results are not tainted.

Sad and fatalistic outlook on things, yes. Also possibly more realistic than one would care to acknowledge...

And the electoral is as susceptible to the corruption that money brings as are the keepers of the tabulators...

Texas carried McCain 54-46 over Barry. Other than inner cities, not many voted for that commie bastard.

What amazes me is that TX is his state with the second highest approval. Never would have thought that possible.

Thats exactly right. All we do is try to sway the vote of the elctorial college. The system is antiquated and broke and has been broke for a long long time.

False.

By Constitutional design, state representatives are voted in by popular vote, and the President is elected by state representatives.

texas and california have a lot of people from south of the border. Thus, the high approval rating for obama.

the president is elected by the electoral college, different states have different ways of nominating their electors, in some states the people vote for them like any other politician, in other states they are appointed. in texas 2 electors are nominated by a nominations committee, the rest are voted in by each political parties district convention, independent voters do not get a say.
