Universal Retirement System: NEXT

Isn't about time to take care of all the people that do not have enough retirement, but some people have defined retirement and 401k plans? The government should take over all those plans and give benefits to poor retired people too.

All for the good of the people huh?

Funny how the same people in this list that are pushing for this just so happen to be union that just so happen to be having problems funding the pensions that they promised their members due to mismanagement, and poor fiscal policy.

NOOOOO couldnt be. Eveything is on the up and up I'm sure.

Retirement USA has been convened by five organizations – the AFL-CIO, the Economic Policy Institute, the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, the Pension Rights Center, and the Service Employees International Union. These organizations have come together to raise awareness about the need for comprehensive reform for the future.

Although Dave Ramsey has said he would never run for President, I would vote for the man. He has constantly said he wants TERM LIMITS for congress and that the government should spend LESS and not borrow money.

I like that, but the current system of politicians will never do that.

Remember during the campaign, Congress and Obama were saying they wanted to "save" the 401k's of everybody (during the crash) by nationalizing them.

Greedy bastards just want access to the TRILLIONS in 401k's and IRA's to help with their spending binges.

Yeah that healthcare bullshit bill has a 3.8% tax on ALL INVESTMENT ACCOUNTS. Doesn't exempt 401ks or IRA's

IIRC it taxes the earnings, and does exempt people under a certain income level.

Still complete and total bs, just sayin...
