They'll do everything they can to attack a movement that presents counter ideas.

The Republicans and democrats have, for too long, simply ran on 'we're not them!' instead of saying, vote for us because we believe x, x, x, x, and x whereas out counterparts believe in y, y, y, y, and y.

The tea party will continue to grow because people are frustrated and angry at a government that will not listen. The more the tea party message gets out, the more people will hop on board in direct opposition of this administration.

Pericles "Freedom is the sure possession of those alone who have the courage to defend it. "

"[T]he people alone have an incontestable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to institute government and to reform, alter, or totally change the same when their protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness require it." --Samuel Adams

I'm onboard already as well. Too bad we couldn't have some guy like that as our first black prez instead of the creature that we got instead.

WHAT?? How dare you! Are you REALLY trying to insinuate that you don't oppose the President simply, because he's Black?? That is a bold face lie!! *extreme sarcasm*

I took it as his trying to say that, based purely on vocalization of beliefs, that the gentleman I just listened to would better suit the beliefs of those around me in my day to day travails than the travesty currently receiving mail at the house in question...

Well, my family are all Democrats. Was at Family Dinner with the folks from my Mom's side of the family the day they passed the Healthcare Bill, and they were watching it on MSNBC. They celebrated as soon as it was announced that the bill passed. I was sick to my stomach..

It is a shame that the first black president was Barack Obama. Between all the controversy of his back ground, his far left leaning policy and having to force stuff down the throats of Americans because he cannot get it done any other way will not do the future black politicans any favors. Had Obama been more of a center to center right president and actually been more transparent in policy making as well as not been attached to his very radical roots, he could have really helped break down the barrier. Instead, he's adding bricks to the wall each time he paints people as racist or "tea baggers" who oppose his policy. He simply is not presidential material and its becoming more and more apparent the longer he is in office.

History might view him more favorably but only time will tell.

The sad thing is, they are cheering the sheer stupidity of it all. They just don't know it.

What I wonder is, what do these type of people think, when communism finally comes to pass and they have legitimate complaints about it. But by that time, they aren't even allowed to speak out about it. Do they ever stop and think: "Man, all those years I was a dumbass". Cause I'm sure those types were around when other governments formed their communism.

Well, you gotta see it from their point of view. The thing is, atleast for the normal liberal voters, to them it's about doing what's morally right. As time has gone on they've moved more and more to the left, and have decided that the Government's job is to make sure that the people are taken care of.

They don't understand that you can't simply just write check after check and just tax the rich whenever they need money, because considering that the rich pay the majority of the taxes the more you Tax the rich, the more you start to destroy business, and what ends up happening is you have a society of middle class with no one to Tax.

I don't see the country going to communism or socialism, atleast for AWHILE. We'll probably be dead if/when the happens. But mark my words, as time goes on they'll start to move more and more to the left as a party, and eventually socialism won't seem that bad to them. Europe is a perfect example. Used to be Traditional, now they've moved closer and closer to Socialism. In some parts of Europe they're coming back to the Right. Except that the Right Leaning politicians (like France's Sarkozy, and England's Brown/Blair) are probably closer to Old School Democrats than Libertarians/Old School Republicans.
