I really don't understand how this results in less pollution. I mean, for them to even be able to present it, it has to at least have the potential to reduce pollution, even if it never actually does.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the reduction of pollution, and I am not the typical naive conservative who thinks the earth is some immortal being that can never be harmed or killed. But bullshit rules and politics isn't going to clean things up either.
Just an afterthought to my fellow conservatives. Not saying that you think like this, but I know that many people do. My grandparents do, but they are from an older generation.
If you pour out some motor oil on the ground, do you deserve what you get when it finally seeps into your well water? Or when you want to plant a garden there later, but can't? I think it all goes back to the old "Don't shit where you eat" or "Don't piss in your own pool". Not only that, but so many conservatives think that "god will protect us from our own irresponsibility". When, in your life, has god ever not made you live with your own mistakes? When has he ever not allowed you to learn a lesson? So why is the environment somehow magically exempt? Don't get me wrong im not some tree hugging hippie. But I'm also not a retard that thinks that this planet's biosphere is magically immortal. I like to be able to eat, and breathe. And you're a fool if you think man can't poison his environment. /rant
