Ain't over yet.

Our government needs our help, they have an addiction. Our government is addicted to our money. Since they always have our best interest at heart it's time we return the favor. We need to have an intervention, for the governments own good of course. It's just irresponsible for us to let people with a known money addiction continue to handle our money. Lets have an intervention now so we can help these sick individuals.

If this bill does pass the senate, look for the principle of the unintended consequence to kick in. Long waits for service, drug shortages, abuses by both healthcare personnel as well as the insured, job losses caused by companies responding to increased costs and tax increases, more jobs moving overseas, and so on. There are a lot of taxes on the rich in this deal, and they'll simply move their shit somewhere else. It's already happened in new york, where the democratic governor hiked the hell out of new york state taxes on the rich, and since then new york has been hemorrhaging the rich to other states.

And of course, we can't afford this bill in the first place.

I hope the senate will get their head out of their asses and listen to the will of the people. I mean hell, 55 percent don't want this, 75 percent are happy with what insurance they have. What the hell is wrong with this picture?

2010 will already be too late, especially if C/T passes. Way too late.

Only hope is senate, and I'm not so sure what will happen, but look forward to some future uproar and maybe a market collapse come monday.

The current laws in the bill will kill small business.

Thank god for government jobs, because it looks like they are on the way to writing everyones check.

Comrades, Pelosi won't get voted out of the house, because her district in California loves her. She could lose the Speaker seat, but still stay in the house. Harry Reid is in big trouble back home, so he will more than likely be gone in '10.

Hopefully, this will cause enough of an uproar in the general populace, that the senate will think long and hard before passing anything similar. Porashchanie! (that's "farewell" in Russian...I'm brushing up)

I don't know how they expect us to react. They know this was unpopular with the majority of people and still pushed it down our throats. Hope the bloodshed that (should) follows won't be a surprise either.

Time to start calling the senate feverishly.

Lol. Look at how quick it was passed, nobody was watching, they were grieving or too angry to notice. I told you all to watch out after the
shooting. But now that it is out there and the senate hasn't voted on it yet the pressure will be back them to not pass the bill.

It should be mandatory that everyone that votes on bills of this magnitude have to read it, and then pass an exam on it proving that they understand it. Only then you're qualified to vote on something that has this big of an impact on it's people.

It will pass and it will happen. It isn't about reading what is in this bill. They are only interested in putting their names in history on the coat tails of a black president. Self glorification at it's finest. By the time the truth comes out about the damage this has done to our freedoms, it will be too late.

Could "we the people" have done more to prevent this?

I agree I dont see her going anywhere, she is from one of the most liberal districts in the country. but a lot of districts are like that, as a general rule Americans hate congress but they love their congressman. if you look locally, I do not see many people in Dallas wanting to vote out Eddie Johnson (D) who was a big supporter of the bill

Glenn Beck did a segment on his TV show that discussed who was writing these bills and why they weren't being read. The authors are some how related to Saul Alinsky and the liberals in congress trust 'their writing'

I see a lot of challenges to this in court if it goes through.

I want to know how they expect a family making 50k a year to forfeit 17% to a program they may or may not use.

How does this affect entities like the military or private union contracts like those that cover the railroad?

The "would" is a different story though.

In the past all it took was Stamp Acts, Sugar Acts and Tea Taxes. Now we're facing state mandated healthcare and unimaginable wealth redistribution via gov't handouts...

But apparently the collective fuse of the populace has grown longer and longer over the generations.

I wonder how much is left before that flame gets down to the blasting cap?

I'd imagine the Senate balks on passage, if it clears them, I think things will start to go 2012 for the leaders.

I asked some people why they didn't go to the Tea Party. I was told that they didn't want to miss any work. When I asked them why, they said that they might lose a couple of hundred dollars from a days worth of work. When I asked them if losing a couple hundred dollars was better than losing a few thousand dollars when the government controls our healthcare decisions, I didn't get a response.

I think the flame is still far away from the blasting cap and may have had water poured on it.
