Talking Goodbye, democratic governors!

Deeds is out in virginia LOL..... a state that played a pivotal role in the 2008 election.

The new jersey race is still to close to call at the moment.

I sure hope that this is a harbinger of things to come in 2010.

Sha nah nah nah, sha nah nah nah, hey hey hey, goodbye!

On another note, they took exit polls today and it appears that there were a lot of votes "against bush" in the 2008 elections, and people are now realizing their error, so I see that as a good sign also.

And the dems are still trying to pass that rotten health care bill too. Just keep piling up that goodwill boys!

Here's the thing. Obama could easily turn this thing around if he really wanted to. If he actually did something to prevent the banking crisis from happening again he would score some major points. BUT, he (just like GW before him) is owned lock stock and barrel by wall street. The whole wage bullshit is just a distraction from the White House and Congress' lack of balls to reenact Glass Stegall or redo the Commodities Modernization Act.

Obama could also do something about the rampant speculation in commodities but he won't.

Health care is that other 500lb gorilla but I bet people are a helluva lot more pissed about those bailouts and the failure to take action to prevent it from happening a 2nd time.

Speaking of health care, have you seen the details on the new bill. Talk about shooting yourselves in the foot. These fuckers have no chance at all of holding the Senate in 2010. They are probably going to lose the House too..

Obama is doing exactly what he was put into to power to do. Why in the world would he want to change a damn thing?

The big one is New Jersey. The Republican, Christie, is 6% ahead of the Incumbent Democrat Governor, Corzine. The reason this is big is because N.J. is a blue state, that and the fact that his "holiness", Obama campaigned for Corzine. So if Corzine loses can you imagine how big this is??

Looks like some of the sheep woke up.

Just like Beavis said, if Obama wants to score brownie points, he still can. But he won't.

Oil is about to climb sky high again because of speculation so people are going to have one more reason to be mad as hell.

Gosh it was funny listening to the News outlets spin the election results. They claimed that in years past the mid year elections are the first real chance that the voters have to judge the Presidents work, but that wasn't the case this year. Even though Obama campaigned hard for the Democratic Governors they claimed exit polls still showed Obama as doing a good job and the reason the Governors lost even with Obama campaign for them was because of local issues that didn't involve the President. I couldn't stop screaming at the TV while they reported this horseshit.

I'd like to see some of these bs questions on those exit polls. The questions probably were worded like this.

Given this scenario who would you view doing the best job at saving America.

A. The devil
B. Allah
C. Obama

couple things that got me in this election was the fact that, so many of the people being polled by the reporters said they voted republican because they wanted to send a message to obama, not because they liked the candidate they were voting for.

in new york, a conservative and republican split the party vote allowing a democrat to win a long time held republican congressional district. this sends a huge signal that the party still has no clear direction.

Once again, having a fractured republican voting block (*cough* Clinton/Bush/Perot and Clinton/Dole/Perot *cough*) killed the conservatives actually getting a conservative/republican in the seat. This is why a 3rd party sucks, because the dems will always win when the other base is split.

George Pataki and Mitt Romney didn't change the politics in their home states when they were governors. Just because people want conservatives in charge of their homes doesn't mean they won't screw the rest of the country by re electing liberals to congress.

It's a good sign and a great start but until the Libs in congress start losing their jobs nothing is going to change.

X2

Hence District 23 in NY and District 10 in CA are the real losses, IMO.

Hoffman will win in '10. I believe the seat comes up then for full term election and he'll smoke the competition.
