How did we go from ---

People who sailed across an ocean in wooden boats willing to risk their lives to start a new life and get away from government control to a bunch of p*ssies that now EXPECT the government to do everything for them? The original settlers built their own homes, farmed or hunted their own food... Now people seem to have to have someone to tell them when they can cross the street on their own.....

WTF happened?????

I was in LJS for lunch today and it was empty. The two girls behind the counter were arguing over who got the most in Food Stamps each month.

People were out of work and and starving, the gouv. came to the rescue. It's been getting worse ever since. After they were helped once, and i'm not saying it was wrong to help them in the 30's, I guess it showed people the gouv. would come to their rescue and you didn't have to plan for bad times as much.

Survival of the fittest is long gone. IMHO that's what made us the country we are today. Those times are lost as long as we have the great rescuer in the form of the gouv.

Unite for globalism and enslavement.

Our government needs our help, they have an addiction. Our government is addicted to our money. Since they always have our best interest at heart it's time we return the favor. We need to have an intervention, for the governments own good of course. It's just irresponsible for us to let people with a known money addiction continue to handle our money. Lets have an intervention now so we can help these sick individuals.

It's about the perception by the people of what governments purpose is.

Wealth redestribution isn't one of them.

What Made America a success throughout history was it's freedom to allow it's people take risks at their discression.

When the government prevents risk, it prevents success.

We have lost our way. As the government intrudes more and offers more hand outs, it also inherits more leeches on the system. Eventually, we will succumb to the leeches.

It all started with the New Deal, imo.

How..... Easy, Frelling Liberals.

Hell man, look at just the brinks home security commercials. What is the message they are really telling you?

Don't defend yourself, WE will take care of that for you.

Every time you allow some one else to "take care of you" You loose!
You loose just a little more freedom, you loose self respect, you loose sovereignty.
And I am referring to able bodied people.

All men should know Honor first, above all else!

Honor is not holding your hand out for something you did not earn.
Honor is not forcing your ideas, or belief on others.
Honor is not something given to you by way of job, or title.

Honor is learned, earned, practiced and respected by all decent men and women.

Sometimes I think it's laziness... I mean really... I can tell the difference in our kids just in the past 30 years...
I used to walk to school in elementary... stay out and play from dawn till dusk (in the summer)

We used to build forts and tree houses with (gasp!) REAL tools...

Today kids freak out if you pull their XBox controller from their cheetos stained hands...

We (for the most part) have become a lazy, spolied, entitlement minded society who has become dependant on technology and cheap goods\labor for everything....

It scares me where this may lead...

It was wrong to help them in the 30's. I certainly feel for my ancestors that had to live through that, but you can't govern a country based on the feelings and emotions of individuals. That's simply another case of our government making a decision based on short-term pressures without consideration for the long term ramifications of their actions.

Our government needs its citizens to need the government so that they can further proliferate their own power over and over again. The American public has already bought into this and there's very little we can do to stop it now.
